Have been shooting a bag for over two decades(not the same bag) The only piece of advice is keep them dry and out of the sun. The weather is a killer on them. A old mattress works well for a target. Absolutely love and respect the content.

I love my Yellow Jacket. Over 10 years or so, I’ve put a few thousand arrows into it from a 48 lb. bow. It shows some wear, but has lots of life left. Just keep turning it around, and use all of the surface area. It also helps to store it somewhere cool, dry, and out of the sun.

Nice work. Love this series. A cheap alternative to a bag target is you can find jumbo sandbag material and stuff the bag with grocery bags. A sharpie will give you whatever bullseye you want. Cheap, effective, and a great way to recycle old plastic bags.

It used to be a good way. Nowadays I have no excess bags and will find myself buying small trash bags for the first time in my life very soon.

Been waiting for the hurricane since you started these tests! Mine has stoop up to a lot of shots (800-1000) on both sides. I’m starting to over penetrate the deer heart target

The Morrells are fantastically reusable, the fibers/cloth never truly break down. When they lose their oomph you can buy a new cover and stuff anything from landscaping cloth to old clothes into them to fill them out again. It also helps longevity if you take the targets down and jump/stomp on them rearrange it.
I've also taken the innards from some and put them into a "Third Hand Rag Bags" cover as well (shown at 14:08). Rag bags use a much more resilient material similar to bulk grain bags and it holds up to compounds much better then the standard Morrell cover.

The bag target will last longer if you flip the target when the material gets compressed. It almost refreshes the bag when you flip it around.

Straw bail from tractor supply with some stretch wrap. $17. Nearly 40 lbs but multiple 1000s of arrows and still shooting.

Love these reviews it's one of the first of its kind as far asyoutube archery goes. If you ever get a chance, I hear great things about Bulldog archery targets. They aren't cheap, but they have a few cool features such as free refacing and stuff offered by the company. Keep up the great content you guys!

I have a hurricane bag the same as that but my fill is totally different than that. It’s definitely recycled materials but there seems to be a lot of variation in type

Bought the cheaper block target earlier for broadheads with expectation to get a bag target for everyday shooting once this review came out, looks like the yellow jacket wins.

i have the yellow jacket, they say you can lay it down and stomp on top of it to move the filling around. mine is 8 or 10 years old and it has white polyester material in it, where yours has black.

After you punch a hole you can use lumber wrap to re wrap your bag

I have a yellow jacket bag and only got about 400 arrows before it had soft spots randomly throughout that I would pass through pulling fletching off. I do not recommend for higher poundage compound bows

I have a new hurricane target and absolutely hate it. Shooting a newer Mathews bow with a 500 grain arrow and bury it to the fletching every shot since around shot 3 into the target. It is garbage for a high fps compound with a mid-light weight arrow

Try and make your own bag with a feed sack and a bunch of Goodwill clothes. You’ll find that it works better than all of these.

many Thanks for this series Kramer i really appreciate You doing this.
i am over in england on a tight budget like we all are just now and whilst i expected no more than a little more knowledge of what may last best, and sure enough the import taxes for a yellow jacket pushed the cost up close enough to a local medium sized three d, i can't believe i now have one and great review You steered us True here for sure.
frustrated i saved and bought a heavier straw boss, i shoot through the one in the series in just a few weeks, but just at the start of autumn so i ended up bringing it indoors and starting my torba training on it.
    better late than never.
making certain to not damage the accommodation currently in and get the most for my buck that boss now sits waiting for the weather to change and she's back in the garden overnighting under a tarp.
now i have a more suitable torba target and feeling the need for a waterproof target this time of year and having found a decent supplier of bosses i looked on their store and there are yellow jackets at retail price they must be crating them in, Thanks to You and your efforts here i was immediately stoked to see it and cannot be happier to have a decent affordable portable target i can easily put away after a session almost anywhere.
cheers Brother good on You and many Thanks,
may our arrows fly ever straight and True 🏹❤️😁.

    Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
