I also had a dream before I found out I was pregnant that I had a baby girl, and turns out I was pregnant and with a baby girl. It's crazy how connected we are with our child before they come greet us in the world. Congratulations! Praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby for the two of you!

Tina you had the feeling from the beginning, that's so amazing. I wish you to keep this great understanding of your baby and body. Thats also my first tip. Don't overthink everything and sometimes go with your guts in terms of pregnancy and later on.

My tip is to give your baby lots of options for colours and toys, remember that girls like blue and monster trucks too! And lots a different textures, babies go crazy for that! So excited for you! ♡

Absolutely this! I know Tina wants to share all the frilly, fun, but I was 100% a “tomboy” in floofy dresses who climbed trees and loved dinosaurs and HeMan and Star Wars and science fiction, and was always mad that my relatives only got me Princess Leia action figures. (In the 80s, that just meant a lot of the cinnamon bun white dress princess.) I will always and forever adore the aunt who took one look at me drowning in “girl toys” and bombarded me with science kits, detective toys, insect catchers, and other “gendered boy toys.”
And when I got a little older, she was the same aunt who bought me my first colorful nail polish (glittery blue, I still remember it) and rainbow fishnet tights. ❤️

Baby tips:
1. Sleep when the baby sleeps
2. Do not wake up the baby for feedings. When their hungry they'll let you know. That way you could get some rest.
3. Do not hold the baby all the time. You're gonna regret it! That's all she's going to want cause that's what's comfortable. Put her down as soon as she sleeps.
4. Let her be around loud noises (leave the TV on when she's sleeping or music playing) so she doesn't startled and let her be around many faces so she's not going to be a picky little baby wanting mom or dad only (babysitting will be so much easier, trust me). I have many more as I'm a mother to 3 but I'll stop at those cause those are my top ones! You guys are gonna be fantastic parents and you'll learn as you go to what works for her too.
Babies are not “picky” when they only want their parents. It’s a developmentally accurate to have stranger danger. It’s okay for them to take as much time as they need to get use to family and friends. Also mom of three here :)
I also always cringe a bit when people say “sleep when baby sleeps” 🥲. That can maybe work for the first one if you also have family in town who can help with cleaning, cooking, errands etc. but not realistic at all with multiple children in the house.

@@MA-zg2pz True! I held my daughter as much as possible and now I wish I held her even more - now she just wants to play and explore. Mommy cuddles are boring, haha. 😂 Also she loves other people, getting attention etc. So holding her a lot as a baby didn't do any type of damage. Time flies. Hold your babies, get those cuddles. ❤🤗
And yeah, the sleep when the baby sleeps sounds lovely, but especially when they are newborns you are high on love, so sleeping was actually hard. I say... if the baby sleeps, do whatever you feel like. Clean, sleep, watch tv or anything that will make you feel good and rested. 😀

I’m a mom of 3, as well. Thank you for posting your wisdom on strangers. A child’s feelings are always, always, always valid and should be priority number one. We’re supposed to listen to our children. It’s a two way street. I wish more people took their child’s feelings, into consideration.🤍

Get a car seat for the baby. Get the right diaper .some baby’s are sensitive to some diapers. But it’s a learning process every baby is similar but very different. I hope the best for you too

Congratulations!! My only advice is to just relax in the process. You never know how things will happen.. breastfeeding, how the baby sleeps, the delivery, the personality of your baby... it could all go differently than you imagine. Just go with the flow... your instincts will kick in.

@@yoonniemin6438 not as smooth as planned my nose wouldn’t stop bleeding causing my blood pressure to drop really low, I had turbinate gland removal and my sinuses drilled out which turned out to be closed completely my consultant says it’s the worst he’s ever seen :( but thank you for asking I hope you have a good Christmas x

I have the same expression on my face as Alfred when someone says: "We are pregnant". 😂 Because usually only one person carries the child and is therefore "really" physically pregnant. (Unless, of course, both partners are pregnant at the same time.) 👩❤️👩💕
There are so many other beautiful expressions to include your partner, like: "We are expecting", "We are going to be parents", "We are having a child" or "We are eagerly awaiting" etc.

My hubby and I did a surprise, we waited till the very end to find out. Everyone including myself thought it would be a boy lol, but when she came out I was so happy. My advice is to throw your expectations out the window 😂 every single one of them.. you can plan all you want but the reality is, you won’t know what works or what doesn’t until you are trying it with your baby 😊 just be prepared to change your mind, change products, change methods and go with the flow 😊 it doesn’t matter how many kids we have, we’re all just winging it and making it up as we go 😂

Congrats Tina and Alfred on your lil girl!!! So happy for you guys. Being first time parents ain't easy, but as long as you both talk and agree on how you care for her and raise her that's all that matters. Find a trusted and kind pediatrician, one that you can also go to for guidance if needed. Tina to help recover, nap when the baby naps after childbirth. Have a plan b, c, d etc for your childbirth plan. Good luck!!!

When your newborn is here:
Get as much sleep as you can. Trade off with one another. Be aware of colic where the newborn will cry, for no reason, for hours... straight, usually at night. You will be extremely exhausted. This is not to scare you but this is to inform you. You can't really do much to a colic baby, but try soothing the baby, swaddling the baby, singing, etc. There are some natural medicine out there that says it works for colic. You can try them. It takes weeks for colic to go away. With that said, not all babies have colic. As a mother of 8, there are so many advices and tips I would love to give to you two. However, the most important one (or two or a few advices) I can give to you two is be patient with one another. You will be transitioning to parenthood, and it is totally a new ball game there. You will feel blessed. You will feel exhausted. Help each other, take care of each other, and look out for one another (physically, mentally, and emotionally). If possible, always remember to add a date night (without the baby). You will need and appreciate the break.

awww, congrats!! It’s a girl! My 6 months old baby is a girl too. Make sure to get TONS of sleep and enjoy date nights to the fullest now before the baby comes. When she comes, time and sleep will get so depleted. Enjoy the pregnancy!

TIP from a single mum! Even if you "don't know", follow your gut as a mum. You will be the one to know your child best so trust yourself and Alfred to raise and parent your child how you both feel is best. Yes, advise from loved ones and mum will be helpful but if you get even the slightest bit of hesitation from some advice someone tells you, trust your instincts. I spent too many months trying to raise my child right by following after people I thought were great mothers that I lost so much time creating a bond with my baby and raising them how I wanted.
I feel this isn't being said enough. I wish someone told me this when I started off and I hope this tip helps you too.
