This is super inspiring! You see so many producers with crazy expensive setups and its super refreshing to see someone so good just go in the box and make such great music
This space is absolutely inspiring so full of light and life! The plants, the vibe…how would anyone ever leave this chair? I swear, future archaeologists would find my fossilized remains just chilling right here! Amazing sounds!
agree on the hardware thing! I feel a lot of people over-romanticize hardware because it's less accessible. The metering Dycide has been working on looks amazing, and the Tokyo Dawn Limiter is sooo good. I've also been trying to make a max for live device to process kicks but it's not done yet. Half your other favorite artists: 30 synths/drum machines circling entire studio; Polygonia: OPERATOR + plants XD
Great talk and dope working environment. While the ITB workflow is not my cup of tea then I still learned something and enjoyed this episode. It's fun how different everyone's approach is to creating electronic music these days. In-the-box, dawless, hybrid, modern, old school, etc. Each to their own and whatever makes people happy.
One of my reference producers nowadays. A brilliant approach to creation totally opposite to what I do but thats the nice thing at the end. To find the tools that suits you best.
Great interview - can totally relate to having a nice computer setup, sound, monitoring and environment. What is the spectrum analyser/oscilloscopes she is using?
Quick straw poll. Do you guys mix as you go or do you get your track all arranged, levels and balance done, then mix in a seperate session? Or something between the two? Personally I like to work fast and get things sounding nice as I go along, which inspires the track I'm making too.
@@bradleypower4803 Ah that's just a standard dell monitor actually. I have two different models, both are dell ultra sharp monitors 27". You can basically use all monitors vertically actually if you have a stand which can turn your monitor by 90°. In windows you can change the settings for that particular screen which you're turning.
Haha no worries. Both monitors are regular Dell Ultrasharp 27". You can use any monitor vertically actually. Just go into your settings and change the display angle. And of course your monitor stand has to be able to turn your device by 90 degrees as well.
Love the mixing/ technical stuff whilst making the track. I cant understand why you it needs to be some big process after. Im not an engineer or anything but if it sounds right from the beginning, why go and change it after the fact.
@@polygonia8301 hey Polygonia, great job!! can I ask you? You say that you use only Ableton, but I think stoor Amsterdam with speedy j and rrose you was playing with some hardware equipment, is it just controller for Ableton? Or some drum machines?
@@romantio It was Ableton, controlled by four akai midi mixes. For live sets I also always use the drum machine Drambo on the IPad next to Ableton, which I did for Stoor as well. Next to that I use another IPad with the Touchable pro app, it is my substitute for the Push as it works a bit faster for me. The other artists used hardware. But I don't use hardware in the studio or for live sets. The only hardware I use are two FX pedals (Reverb and Delay) when I DJ.
so can you then also develop audio software as a lazy gen z kid? not sure about that. But that's exactly what we're doing. A bit sad that you judge so fast though. I guess you don't know my work at all.

aw thank you! yeah it doesn't matter what you're using, the most important is a creative mind with some knowledge :)
Great clip: really insightful and what a talented producer - love your music!!!
By far the most interesting producer AND DJ in the game right now. Great stuff, thank you!
Aaw ❤
@@polygonia8301 please come to Open Ground, Wuppertal! I think your sound would be perfect for their insane PA! Thank you for your music!!!
Please more from Polygonia. I could listen to her for hours. Such an inspiration!
That's the first in-the-box producer presentation i actually liked. Good vibes.
aaw 🎈 great to read!

Looks like a nice producing environment , she is very grounded and chill.
Will have to check her music out I like her philosophy. That analyzer looks cool
What a beautiful and very zen studio space. Great producer!
thank you 🙏
@@polygonia8301 you have a nice energy on the video as well, you should come back at producing videos for your youtube channel!
@@ahzootubeyeah, I want to do more, it's on my todo list. But my schedule is always so full that it's hard to do it often. I'll try my best :)

Thank you for introducing so many interesting artists! I just took a listen to Polygonia and I liked it very much.

yes that's the secret, finding your own comfort zone. There is no right or wrong, only the result counts :)
I called it over three years ago: Lindsay would be one of the most talented and important music producers, and I was right.
🩷
Looking forward to this analyzer 👀
👀
That was really cool.
Smart and interesting artist
💯

It's an audio analyzing software which we are currently developing with our label IO. going to release next year :)

It's mirra 14 by Abacus :)

Very cool Tech Nerd Women
Please include multi tracks capability for the oscilloscope and work well on the sync, then it's a no brainer multi meters that I would surely grab
what do you mean by multi tracks capability?
A very likable and interesting musician. Does anyone know where to get her spectral analyzer?
The analyzer is not released yet, it will be out by the end of 2025 :)

I can tell from her studio cat training alone that she is good at producing.

Is that spectrum analyser out yet??
it will be out by the end of 2025 :)
Such a nice clean setup, useful tips and recommendations too!
Heheh, she has such a Berlin accent, most of my Berlin friends sound the same. :-P
haha but I'm from Munich ;) gotya
Anyone know when the program she talks about in the tools section will release?
in 2023 she said next year, it's november 2024 so probably...next year
yes it will be released by the end of next year. We're already quite far in the process but some things still have to be optimized 🌟

This’s the Gen Z, Their music is the most laziest way possible. Digitally enhanced mid range, no one sweats for it, it’s like the corporate food.

Very nice insight in how she does things. One of the most interesting artists for me at the moment. Very busy deejaying schedule also. 🫶🏻
