iPhone 13 mini here. I attempt to game on phone with "87" BH & I litteraly lose 2-3% every 5 minutes! I am on ios 15. 4.1. Do you think the out of date software is messing up battery? Cause I never had this issue up until roughtly a 2-3 weeks ago. It's driving me crazy & thankfully I dont travel otherwise I'd have to think of getting a bigger uncomfterable phone, which the mini is prerfect for my hand feel. HELP!, thank you

Just upgraded from my 12 mini to a 13 mini honestly the only reasonable upgrade for me… I ordered a 13 mini refurbished 256GB green for $420 bucks i hope it’s legit.

Got mine 13 Mini 12 months ago and after one year of daily usage, the maximum battery capacity is 97% which I'm considering really good...this phone is a f-KING LEGEND :)
The 13 mini is still an incredible phone! It just feels right and stays out of my way.
The reason I switched to Apple is that it introduced the mini version which I love so much. Until Apple doesn't release another small flagship I'm holding to my iPhone 13 mini as long as it's possible. I really do hope that in a year or two the mini lineup will come back to us even if it didn't sell as well as everyone hoped for. Despite that, there's still a big market for mini lovers like me. There's many people out there who need and want a small yet powerfull phone for various reasons... I am a disabled person so I need to have a small yet powerful flagship which I can use with one hand. This is precisely what I have since I switched from my previous Android device (Samsung Galaxy S10e). Although I still don't feel any reason to upgrade in the near future (although I do regret buying the 128gb over the 256gb version) I'm sure that within the next couple of years there will come a time that I would love my Iphone to have all the newest features in the small size of my current 13 mini. This size is simply perfect for me. I really hope and believe that Apple will remember about us in the near future despite all that we hear... All we can do is hope 🙏 🙏 🙏
tbh with how heavy phones are getting even 6.1 Inches display are getting to look smaller. I am happy with my s23 not heavy, perfect display size and easily provides me with full day backup. I am pretty sure the same can be said for the iPhone 15 base now that it is even lighter with a bigger battery. Just 60hz held me back for buying it as a secondary device.

I said that releasing the mini they should keep on the shelves for 3-4 years then release another version. Axe the 128GB & make 256GB standard. 3-4yrs of sales before releasing a newer verison with updated hardware + slightly better battery would make sense. I wouldnt mind holding onto my 13 mini for 3yrs for refresh. So long as they keep the same form factor or go up to 5.5 inch is fine. I even think the iPhone XS at 5.7 was big much for me personally for mini is perfect.

apple never should’ve canceled the mini iphone. they could easily keep this form factor and make it the se4. to a lot of population there with small hands simply CANNOT handle a “regular” size phone.
The “Plus” are sellin less than the “mini” atm
And 13 mini had SE 3 as a competitor
so making it the se4 makes complete sense
All apple needs to do is somehow get a 3000mAh *battery in the mini to at least gives it a fighting chance. They can remove anything that needs. Battery>Camera & performance for me.
or make it 2mm thicker to accommodate a bigger battery. would still be better than snapping on the magsafe battery pack 😂

I have the iphone 13 mini with the smallest capacity because it was the only one left on the store, I have a little bit more than 1 year with it and I'm a big fan of small phones. I live in tropical weather and it is true that overheats so I have to be careful not to use it a lot under "hot" conditions. On my trips the camera is incredible, the night shots are amazing and I discover I could take 4K videos, you do also have the cinematic which you can notice it is not the best like pro cameras but it is pretty cool for personal vids or social media

Have had a great 2 years with my mini- love the form factor. Probably going to make the jump to 15 pro for the camera/battery upgrades. Hoping that with it discontinued it may even boost the resale value.

Love my mini 13 as well, but my battery health was already at only 86% after one year of use (and only charging by cable). I heard once that Apple has different battery suppliers, so I think I might got a bad one😅 will change it eventually, since the rest of the phone is great as you mentioned!
Mine has 90% after two years so I'd say you have a bad battery or you used a dodgy charger!

same, i bought it in late 2021 and in january this year, my battery broke down completely, was stuck in a boot loop because of it and had to get it replaced. i definetly got a bad one. i hope that the new battery is from a good supplier now

I miss my (12) Mini’s form factor. I jumped to the 14 Pro last year…Who’s battery left me disappointed. If I had to choose a phone to pick, I would go with the regular 15 which is a solid middle ground between the two. 🐬

Had mine for a year and a half. Not a power user and standby time is amazing if you're using it as a phone and not on it constantly. Drops right in my pocket. Just enabled Standby for the night time display and played with it today. Don't mess w Apple cases and get a Otterbox that's MagSafe compatible unless you are super careful.

🐬 Great review! Also, your photos of Lisbon are gorgeous. I bought my iPhone 13 mini after upgrading from the iPhone se 2020 earlier this year. I LOVE it. I hate large, almost tablet-sized phones, and this little powerhouse does it for me. I agree with every point you made about the camera system, the battery life, and the screen. Apple made a mistake discontinuing the mini line , so I'm keeping mine until it is no longer supported by Apple. Maybe then the mini will be re-introduced. We can only hope.

🐬 Excellent video. Ive had my mini for 1.5+ years now which is a record for me.. always an android guy I was looking for a smaller phone a couple years ago and came across the iphone13 mini. Immediately I pixel'fied it so it felt like my old Pixel 4. I haven't looked back until I preordered the Pixel 8.. I got the Pixel 8 a couple days ago.. and now my sim's going back in the mini. The pixel feels pretty good but even for a smaller android phone it feels annoyingly large to use after using the mini. I just dropped my mini off for a $100 battery replacement and that was my only complaint along with the 60hz. 120hz feels fantastic on the Pixel but it doesn't overpower the benefit of the mini's size and I think 60hz is less noticeable on it's small screen. My battery health was at 88 percent which isn't bad but you need every percent with that phone. I need to let the ios 17 update so I can get that benefit too. Thanks!

I sold my 13 mini black (used for 1 year, battery health was 99%, slow wireless charging from 20 to 80%), tried to use 14...sold 14, again bought 13 mini blue, the most comfortable phone for using with one hand and on the go =)
P.S. Also tried to use ASUS Zenfone 10, but it is not so compact.
I agree.. I bought the 12 mini first.. didn't know what I was getting used to.. switched to the S22 and even that being a small phone wasn't even close to the feel of the mini. I shortly thereafter bought the 13mini and haven't looked back 1.5 years now.
I don't think you give the Zenfone enough credit. I have both the Zenfone 9 and the iPhone 13 Mini. I'm happy with both.
I've been thinking of switching to Andriod for sometime now, but havent found anything as complimentary as 13 mini size. perhaps I got a bad battery cause I got it refurb with 100% BH so maybe new battery from Apple would yeild better results.

@@BabeiIlie I own one currently. Great phone if you're a light user. Let me tell you though. I have 90% BH & lose about 1% every 8-10minutes talk time on call using wifi. Celluar is slightly less. RUclips I get about a good 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 hrs from 0-100 using wifi. Battery isn't great, but I got mine refurb so battery installed could be a dub. I would buy off eBay & make sure you can get $$ back. Test it out for a week & make a choice. Gl bro

Im about to drop the iPhone 14 Pro Max to stay with the iPhone 13 Mini. I'm tired of big and heavy phones. In fact for me they do the same things. I'm not a photographer or someone who needs the best camera out there, so I think the 13 Mini is the way to go!
I agree I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and I have been missing my iPhone 12 mini greatly so what I have done was order an iPhone 13 mini brand new from Verizon today with 512gb and plan on keeping it until the next mini is released and use my 15 PM as only my outdoor phone but the mini as my home use phone which I am home 90% of the time 😅 and yes I filmed with the 15pm and the camera was worse than even the 12 mini I had so I am sticking with my A7IV as my outdoor camera. iPhone 13 Mini I am sure will feel like a total joy since I had an amazing experience with the 12 Mini.

the only problem i had with mini is when taking pictures and videos. my finger kinda cover parts of the camera.
Phone & tablet size has disproportionately risen lately when they were always originally intended to be small, the iPhone mini 13 & the iPad mini 6 are the perfect combination of fully functioning lightweight powerful products in a compact portable format, expensive yes but totally unique & niche. I always buy the cellular version of ipads, yes it increases the initial purchase price but the convenience of cellular especially when travelling is worth it, so easy to pop in a prepaid data sim or activating the esim for connectivity is a bonus I don’t understand why some people limit themselves to just wifi.
It occurs to me that if a software update solves a battery issue then it isn’t the battery but the OS that is the problem!.

60hz is totally fine for phones, even for PCs if you only play single player titles, what are you gonna do with 120hz? scroll faster? high refresh rates is for competitive games, not for quick scrolling.

It does some pros and cons
Pros
- It is more aesthetic
- More comfortable on hands
- My thumb dosent get tired
- Actually 1 handed phone
- Seamless on the pocket
- SIZE IS EVERYTHING. It feels like a luxury phone, feels luxury
- Evrything you get with newer models is just not that worth it. For media consumption you are better of using a tablet rather than a phone. A phone has other uses
Cons
- Battery is low, you need to pair it with the Apple MagSafe battery
- Screen gets dim with heat. But it’s never an issue
Agree 1000%. I love my 13. You think that is the last of a dying breed? Or do you think they'll come out with a 16 or 17 version? We need to continue to make noise about the mini so they keep making them!

@@EmreY25 are you still on ios 15? It's weird that it tanked this much in just couple weeks. I litteraly have all power savings, no social media notifcations on. Can't justify where the battery drain comes from. 100-0% gaming would kill phone in maybe 2hrs. I've gotten better on a galaxy s7 from 2016!

I loved the 13 Mini. But I went through 3 of them.
If you’re concerned about phones running HOT, I’m amazed you haven’t had that issue with the mini. All three of ours ran hot especially outside or inside under any kind of load , even just streaming Hulu. Talk about a pocket hand warmer.
Now granted maybe iOS 17 fixed that so it could be different now. But again I loved the phone size, it was one of my favorite devices besides heat.
