HOLY REALLY? I was in Istanbul, Turkey, it was around 1990 or 1991 and due to my parents' stupid "Don't play with the autofire button" I couldn't play the game. I was 5 years old I think. Hmph. At least I took my revenge and saw it finished here. Plus I fiddled with it a bit, learning a bit of english. Kudos for work.
This used to give me nightmares when I was about 4. Used to watch my brother playing it. Couldn't remember what it was called until now. It was the purple things and the black things with fire in it's mouth?. And being able to hear they were about! Scary as a kid lol
Play at difficulty 4 and the game feels completly different. All creatures except the spider are faster than you. Thus, you cannot blast through the dungeons. You must outsmart the opponents. Also, Genies won't drop a key. Thus, you must collect a key in a dungeon before getting to the final castle. Moreover, there are additional chasms, ham to feed your opponents and only killing a genie will bring you the map. Also, you start with just 1 live - when you die you die.
This game is fantastic. It is a bit like the old Wolfenstein games. I was impressed how the creatures follow you around and how you can shoot into the next room. The look is similar to Zelda, but Alcazar antedates Zelda. There is no reason why this game shouldn't be remembered as a classic.
My wife Keri Longaway did the graphics for this game. She's laughing at the quality now, what a difference 30 years makes! Thanks for sharing :)

Maybe we should start saying that Legend of Zelda was an Alcazar clone...
Pleasantly reminiscent of Mattel's "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" Cloudy Mountain cartridge game!
I remember playing this game long ago. I didn't have a C64 -- I played it on my old Apple IIe.
Extremely good game! I used to play this all the time when i was a kid... I would like to see a modern 3D remake of this one!

Never really understood the point of that game. Is it a pre-Zelda dungeon crawler?
You can kill flies easy by shooting from one screen over. This game was fun and had great music.
