I still remember watching so many MGR films in Royal theatre. It's one of the oldest theatres in Coimbatore which need to be preserved and rejenuvated

I saw mannan (rajini) movie with my family in school period and pennin manathai thottu (prabudeva) movie with my friends in college period in this theater (class cut). I never forget those day's... it's a big and old theater in our coimbatore... it's a one of the pride of coimbatore too... we have to give great salute for entertaining the people... 2020s kids really not known many details of our past pride...

நான் பார்த்த முதல் படம் பக்த பிரகலாதன். என் சகோதரி உள்ளே சென்று விட்டனர். அழுதுகொண்டு வெளியில் நின்று இருந்த என்னை ticket இல்லாமலே உள்ளே அழைத்து சென்றார்கள். இடைவேளையில் என் சகோதரிகளிடம் சேர்த்தனர். மனிதாபிமானம் கொண்டவர்கள்.

Sweet old memories. I went and parked my cycle to see Ninayathai Mudippavan great MGR film around 12 pm and got the ticket for first show. Nice spacious theatre.

ராயல் தியேட்டர் என்றதும் அந்த இளமைக்காலங்கள் நினைவுக்கு வருகின்றன. தீபாவளி வெளியீட்டு படங்களுக்கு முதல் காட்சியே வரிசையில் நின்று டிக்கட் வாங்கி பார்த்த நினைவுகள். 1959ல் கல்யாணப்பரிசு படம் பார்த்ததை இன்றும் நினைத்துப்பார்க்கிறேன்.! அம்பிகாபதி, 'சிந்தனை செய் மனமே' அப்படியே மனத்திரையில் ஓடுகிறது.!!

சென்ற ஒரு தலைமுறையே தியேட்டர்கள் சினிமா என்ற அற்புதமான அந்த "🌈 வானவில் தோட்டத்தில் தென்றலை அனுபவிப்பதை போல "ரசித்து ருசித்து அனுபவித்து சென்றுள்ளனர் ... இன்றைய சினிமா வேறு... அன்றைய நாளில் சினிமா என்பது திரையும் உயிரும் போல .. நகமும் சதையும் போல ... எதிர் காலம் பற்றிய கவலைகள் இருக்காது வேளைவெட்டியே இருக்காது ஆனால் சதா சினிமாவை பற்றிய பேச்சு தான் என்னேறமும் ... சினிமா வை அனு அனு வாக ரசித்து வாழ்த அந்த 1960"70பதுகளில் இளைஞர் களாக இருந்தவர்கள் கொடுத்து வைத்தவர் கள் என்றால் மிகையில்லை... இன்றும் கோவை ராயல் ராஜா இருதயா சுவாமி டிலைட் ரேயின்போ ஹீபதி தியேட்டர் களின் நினைவலைகளை பற்றி தெரியவேண்டுமெனில் அந்த பகுதியில் குடியிருக்கும்70"80"வயதுடைய பெரியவர் யாரிடமாவது பேச்சு கொடுத்து பாருங்கள் "சர்க்கரை பந்தலில் 🍯 தேன் மாறி பொளிவதுபோல் "போளிந்து விடுவார்கள்..அவ்வளவு சுவாரஸ்யங்கள் அடங்கியிருக்கும் இந்த தியேட்டர் ரிவ்யூ க்காரர்ககள் யாரும் அதை செய்வதில்லை சரி பரவாயில்லை... ராயல் தியேட்டரின் வலது பக்கத்தில் டிக்கெட் கியூ இருதயா தியேட்டர் வரை என்றால் இடது புறம் g h வரை நிற்குமாம்.. யோசித்துப் பாருங்கள் மனம் கனத்துப்போகிறது அந்த நினைவலைகள் இதயத்தை ஏதோ செய்கிறது.. அந்தராயல் தியேட்டர் பக்கம் நான் செல்லும் போதெல்லாம் ஆரவாரமான விசில் சப்தம் இன்னும் என் காதுகளில் கேட்டுக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது ஆனால் யாரும் அங்கே இப்போது இல்லை...அருமை யான பதிவு வாழ்த்துக்கள் ஐயா...🙏

The lat the I watched a movie here was in 2000..I couldn't believe it was 20 years..I didn't know it was RHR group either..one of the oldest in coimbatore..There's a bar in RHR hotel near railway station which still has Vincent cool drink..Vincent, which if I'm not wrong is the first theatre..
