Both this version and My own original version is going to be included in the ORK box set out April 18 in a limited edition of 2,000.NO advance orders yet. See the Facebook Ork page for more details. This version will be a 45 single and other stuff as well, including my version of the Rolling stones Get Off My Cloud/ Connection. Also the Erasers lost single I produced and another two songs of mine. + Televisions LJJ.
Ork compilation a staggeringly beautiful piece of work. Wish Covid was finished so humans can play music in public again. Stay safe Richard. Missed you last time you were in Rochester NY.
I had forgotten this song was originally yours, Richard! I had this 45 for a long, long, time, as well as countless other jewels and they and all my hundreds of EPs got stored in a friend's basement when I moved to NM for a while. And all was lost when that basement got flooded. It's possible it's in the 100 or so 45s I took with me and still have. I need to see if I actually have it.
Not really a dBs record, more of a Chris Stamey collaboration with Richard Lloyd - Stamey did the lead vocals and Richard Lloyd wrote it and played guitar, bass, and drums.

Were Chris's vocals recorded over your vocals? I swear I can hear your vocals faintly in the background of this version.

this hasn't been availible on cd since sometime in the 90s when rhino put out those diy comps that were organized by city. fucking shame...
Thanks Richard!
dunkbot you’re very welcome
I think the Replacements took that guitar riff for a song called color me impressed
I think that riff came from Friend of The Devil by the Grateful Dead!
I have it. No, you can't have mine.
probably the first jangle pop song? Obviously excluding the 60s originals.
I’d argue for Couldn’t I Just tell You , Todd Rundgren.
