Was born in ‘87 and discovered this in the early 2000’s and NEEDED to hear this EP today in 2020, still know the words and it’s just perfect.

The CRASS label held its weight right alongside Small Wonder and Stiff!. The early 80s British stuff was really something. The other EP I really enjoy on the crass label is from the snipers. Check out their main track from the ep

Just discovered this two days ago and now I can't get it out of my head. I can't believe I've been listening to punk since the 90's and didn't know ZOUNDS.
This is one of those bands that when RUclips busted wide open, everybody discovered! Because I had friends that listened to crass and conflict and bands like that but never heard of Zounds until like 2004. I think unless you were in the U.K you probably would've never heard of them

Was lucky enough to see them live last year before all this Coronavirus nonsense.
The Best Anarcho Punk Band !
Completely original and genre defying. They had the gift of talent to write, play and sing like no other group. Catchy? Oh you bet! Social message? Profound "yes". Though it hails from a different era, this stuff is timeless, a truly beautiful work of heart.
Still so damn good all these years later. Just as relevant and inspiring as the day it came out, perhaps even more so considering the absolute power banksters and large corporations now wield over us and our communities.

The weird thing is that most punks and lefty bohemians these days tend to support the agendas the banksters and corporations are pushing.

Couldn't agree more fella. In fact all 3 of these songs show just how little we've learned or evolved in 37 long years. It made me angry when I was a teenager but now just makes me sad.

I'm 23 now but had Crass and Poison Girls patches on my parka through sixth form. Punk means you're different, not lonely.
Same! I've tried so hard to start a scene with other hardcore kids around me but the 10 or so "punks" I get are socially awkward guys or pop punk fans who never show up to band practice!
Fukn hell guys - appreciate what youve got. In 1980, lone punks in Swindon, Scunthorpe and Sunderland would never have connected - got internet now so easy to find people who like visceral raw music.

Somebody (I know not who to this day) handed this to me on a cassette at a show in 1993 or so, and it blew my goddamned teen aged mind.

An absolute classic. Message still as relevant as ever.
Such a classic single & band still remember buying it when it came out sound a as good now as then glad I still have it.
I remember back in highschool some good looking punk rock girl was selling her patches, I can't remember which patch I bought from her but I accidentally took her Zounds patch, she asked me if I took it, I said yes and she told me to keep it not having a clue who these guys are, just last year I looked them up on RUclips and listen to this EP and instantly loved it..

one of the best 7" of ALL time! awesome fold out poster and sentiment, I paid $10 for mine in the 90s, then I had a home invasion when ALL my records walked out the door, I have not been trusting of people since!
Have this in my records bought it new from a record stall as a young punk in the 80s cost 45p Awesome band and a awesome ep definitive 80s anarcho punk still love it and still relevant ATB.

ngl I was kinda surprised to find an old anarcho-punk band from my hometown. Reading's radical scene has a surprising amount of history bubbling under the surface. I once stumbled across online some anarchist pamphlets produced here in the early 90s. I keep being pleasantly surprised
