Another excellent video - I'm really enjoying these...ironically, even though I am a bit of a gunzel, I have yet to travel on a V'locity. That's very un-Melbourne of me...
Was only in Ballan today and went to the butcher and then drove past the station to Meredith for lunch at the pub (on holidays so doing a few little day trips).
And there was a driver on the platform waiting to take over from you when u got there mate? On plat 2, what was the train that was coming into the station that day to pick up the passengers from to take them to their destination? ☺
Love your videos, but you need to speak to your boss about the horns they have on the vlocity trains😅. They need a nice big grunt like the C class locomotive 😅.
Those 2 closed lines are really the same line (each end when it joined back) It was the original main line that made a sort of U shape to both follow the terrain and stop at what were sizable towns and in the 2000’s they built a more direct higher speed deviation line
Great trip, shoud be alot of fun to watch too.
Glad you enjoyed the video 👍 😊

Quite a few closed stations and lines along this section.
What are the numbers in the white squares?
The numbers in the white squares are the kilometres from Melbourne. 👍😊

@@xr6lad yes they are the old main line via Bungaree. I have a video of that line before it was removed. 👍😊
