- The BlackBerry Mobile KEY2 and KEY2 LE are the two best BlackBerry devices available today, and this is my KEY2 vs. KEY2 LE video. What's the difference? There are lots of differences even though the phones looks very much the same, and in this video I'll talk about the differences in the performance, specs, keyboard, cameras, and everything else!

I switched from PRIV to KEY2 LE, and love it! I miss the swiping on the keyboard, but overall, I am a Blackberry fan for life. I need a physical keyboard to efficiently do my job, and this phone is the BEST work phone! Can’t wait, and keeping my fingers crossed, for new Blackberry devices to roll out on the Verizon network! I use an iPhone as a personal phone, but could never switch the business phone over to a full touchscreen experience....
Awesome! I just bought a Key 2 LE and had a split second of buyers remorse because of the capacitive keyboard too but can't get over how nice the Atomic Red looks!
Just switched from my Passport silver to a key2 recently, so far, I love it a lot. Most productive device I have ever used. Now I also don't have to carry a iphone and a passport with me at the same time. I can manage all my things on one phone. Everything from the speed key, to the bb hub has been amazing. I would like to see what BB can do if they were to release a new phone with more updated software and hardware!
TO, thanks for your videos. I think they are well put together and are easy listening. After watching this and several of your others videos I just ordered a Key2 LE.
Thanks for explaining the difference between the two BlackBerry phones. I have the key2 and works just fine for me. I've been a BlackBerry for over 10 years. I love when Apple users ask, you have a BlackBerry and the response is priceless.

I love your reviews. Very comprehensive! I don't know if you can call the KEY2 a good camera experience. My photos on my Red KEY2 need optimal light and even so they can wash out details. The keyboard is nothing short of fabulous. It reminds me in a way of the keys on my Passport. Let's hope BlackBerry can live on past August, 2020!
Thanks. I appreciate it. Sure. The camera isn't what I would call great. I was just remarking that it's better than the LE. Compared to 2019/2020 phones it's much worse. But it's the best you're going to get in a blackberry experience. Of course blackberry has never been known for their photo quality. It's generally just been an afterthought to check a box to say it has one. The keyboard is excellent though. I'm really hoping for life after August. We will have to wait and see

I use my Key2 for work, love it. Patiently waiting on a new Blackberry device but it doesn't look promising. My wish list would be for a new Blackberry device from Blackberry but ill take what I can get. Keep up the great content.

My last blackberry classic I didn’t get to try the key2 so I should be ok with out the swipe controls thanks for making this video it makes me feel better about the money I just invested in a le
LE was the most balanced of the bunch. If they released the KEY2 LE and not the KEY2 but invested more in the camera, it would have done MUCH better, I think.
And if I get the Blackberry KeyTwo LE and chances are I will, it's because Mr. TechOdyssey explained everything perfectly well from start to finish. How can we not pay attention and be convinced by a very knowledgeable and good speaker at that.

I have had 3 key2 and sold them at the end I bought a key 2 le and i can agree with you that it's the better experience the keyboard just type different. I ll take this keyboard anyday over it's bigger sibling

Writing this comment on my BlackBerry Key2. This is my favorite BlackBerry of all time. I started off with a 9650 then I got a Storm (ughhh) then did my rounds on BlackBerry 10 with both a Z10 and a Q10.

The last BB I used was the Pearl. I’ve been using iPhones since but I am tired of Apple jerking customers around. I think the LE might be the ticket. Thanks for the review!

You think Key2 LE keyboard is better than the Key2?
Seems like I made an amazing deal with my KeyOne Black for only 350€ in 2018. Still happy with it and hoping to use it at least 2 or 3 more years.

@@Conqueryournafs yes! But it is pretty worn already... Headphone jack is broken, I have to use a soft cover cause the clips of the backplate are broken, fingerprint scanner doesn't work anymore, battery is significantly worse... but what do you expect after 5 and a half years, for such a price? :)
The reasons why I would NOT recommend this phone in 2024: No more updates (I'm on Android 8.1) and performance now reached a point where it annoys me more and more often.
Better go with Key2, the multitasking button is a blessing and it already has a dual camera.

I rewatched this video because one of these may be my backup in case the new phone isn't available when AT&T kills off my Classic or the price point is too high. Which one of these got the most recent security patch?
Only LE will work on Verizon so this video is of interest to me. My present BB Classic will be turned off (3g) 2021. I have the option to go ATT
They key series is great and all but I really wish BlackBerry offered a phone like the Classic again. Like a classic 2

Tried a Titan but couldn't hang with it Just got a Key2 LE and it's a joy. Lighter weight is a positive and much better keyboard than my old Key1.

I have been using BlackBerry Key 2 for 2 years now. Still a solid phone and can help do the dailies for me
But to be honest, it feels like after TCL makes BlackBerry, the durability of (most of) the phones were getting lower
For example my old Keyone keyboard was unable to use because I dropped it once (like literally just one time from the desk to the ground), and the keys around the QWAS zone could not be typed anymore...
So I changed to Key 2. And then last year when I took a shower and let the phone sat in a racket (without any water got in, just steam I think), and yet the keyboard also got the same problem with that same QWAS zone.
Problem solved after I changed the keyboard and never let the phone interact with water. But, these problems never occurred with all other BB10 devices I have though (even the Q10, Q20, Passport, and even the Priv) :/
So, i have a Galaxy note 8. It's time for me to get a new phone. I want the blackberry key2. However, im worried that this phone might feel "out of date" im not a mobile gamer, however, I do use snapchat, and youtube, and discord app. Would this phone be a good one to replace my Note 8?
Hi the camera of my iPhone 8 is damaged and the repair, it seems, costs short of US$100. I will repair it but I think that I will migrate to a Key 2!
You didnt talk about the poor manufacturing of the key one and the issue of the screen falling off. Did they fix this with the key2?

Yes. It works just fine and just got a recent security update too. I'm typing this from my KEY2 LE
I am a huge fan of blackberry since my college days. But due to lack of innovative products i switch to iphone. I will go to blackberry at any point of time. I really wish they will come out eith new products which will lure the customers. I also wish they will lower down the price of key2. In 2020 it really feels expensive.

Thank you so much for the video. Ich I've been the proud owner of a Blackberry key one for three years. Now I have the proble that it hangs up again and again when writing with WhatsApp. I deleted the cache in the WhatsApp app. I have deleted some apps that are not important and of course photos and videos. But the problem is still there. Can you help me? Otherwise I probably have to buy a new Blackberry. But actually I don't want to give away my key one. Thank you in advance. Alia

I sincerely doubt it. I wish... I really do wish. But I see that as very unlikely to happen. I was honestly surprised by the security patch we got a few weeks ago

I dunno what happened to my Q10. All of a sudden it is not recognizing any sim card on BB OS 10.3.3.

I'm just looking for a phone that runs android apps and still has physical buttons. This is just the only thing I can find that does that.
besides the KEy 2 the version BBF 100-6 (double sim) is NOT allowed to use in countries like COlombia and Peru, just because it hasn't FCC ID, what a mess!!!

The KEY2 LE was the one that was supposed to work on Verizon. I never trusted it with Verizon but I did use it with Xfinity mobile with no issues and it's the same network
BB phones are not built for games or cameras and etc, its sole purpose is communication. Texting is a breeze. i dont want to go back typing on a touchscreen anymore. i also have the 9800. i love them both. i think its a irreplaceable phone. k2 Le is my daily driver. its really expensive with only minimal specs at 2020 but worth it.
The KEY2 LE is a fantastic phone.
The only thing is, we will hardly find cover for BlackBerry key2 le

I ended up buying a black tpu case from eBay China meant for the Key2 but fits okay for my Key2 LE, just that the cutouts for the 3.5mm headphone jack & the speakers are slightly off, but if you can deal with that or use a small knife to precision cut them out... it'll work. Love the phone but...Anyone else lose use of the fingerprint sensor? Apparently there is a hardware problem on the Key2...mine is a year old and warranty will not cover it :(
I saw that this phone has the fingerprint feature, do you have to use it or can you just use password like normal. Never had blackberry and don't have a smartphone because I refuse to pay for something that does not have a physical keyboard.
You can use the password line normal or pin or whatever. You don’t have to use the fingerprint sensor

This blackberry with android have somthing bad very bad . The big problem is they dont have software update........ They come with android 8 or 8.1 and died with the same software version......

Don't tell me about the ultimate BB experience. ANY BB using BB10 still crushes any android (also or especially BB) or apple device to this day in terms of usability, sleekness, control, BBM and keyboard (irregardless of if it is a hardware or software keyboard). Sorry. The reason why BB10 never made it: too far advanced, too many options, fully designed for html5 and therefore responsive webdesing (which more or less makes apps obsolete) and that BB dropped like 90% of their marketing staff because of their financial issues. You look at a BB10 device like the Z30 or the Passport, from like 2013 and what they're capable of and compare it with nowadays devices. It is literally an ultimate disappointment what was released as BB under android to be honest.
