Wow just seeing this out of the box ruclips.net/user/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
I have wanted one of these reels for years well 2 yrs ago I got one I obviously didn't know how to use it so I didn't go fishing at all last yr I was even just going to give it away I want to ty I now can use it same reel in your video and I love it
I know this is an older video but I just purchased the black max rod and reel and this is a black max reel. I use medium action 6'6" and was wanting to make sure I don't backlash it. You put the brakes on the left to minimum not max. There is a notch on the dial. I can't wait to start using mine so thanks for the video.
I was gonna say he had his drag and brake wayyyy off. Starting from the crank is, your drag, the knob is tension, then the settings on the left side is brake. I just purchased my firts bait cast, this Black Max and 😜😁😁😁 having problems casting
Dude , everything you said is wrong . The drag is the star on the right side . The knob on the right is the spool tensioner . The dial on the left is the magnetic brake . You thumb the spool just before the lure hits the water . Jeez man , how many people have you screwed up , with your nonsense ?..
I liked your video my friends I just got my first shaksper durango 2 piece 6ft medium action baitcaster rod and a abuugarcia black max baitcaster reel lol 😂😂😂😂😂 my friend you said bait master
It’s called a Black Max. The break is on the left side, not the drag. The tension knob is on the right. The star by the handle is the drag. You adjust the tension based on the weight of the lure. Turned all the way up, you’ll never be able to cast lighter weighted lures.
If you just learning to use a baitcaster you thightig the drag and tension, and your thumb use as brake farther it on thumb, just be4 hits water put yoir thumb on your line and you get good cast and lure woth over spill over your reel as you see your lure hit water put the thumb, on line,
Even the cheap Abu can cast well in good hands. My first reel Silvermax still got him, sold my Revo Toro Revo Winch Black Max etc but not this one. The Guys name is Baitmaster . . . Lets forget that Dude its not the name but the skillz you dont have 🤗
This might sound dumb. I’m right handed but use spin casters with my left(obviously) but are bait casters used the same way? As in right handers reel with their left and left handers with their right?
nope - a right handed baitcaster reel you cast with your right, and then switch hands and reel with your right. A lot of right handers just buy a left handed reel to stay consistent with their spin casting
@@IvanIValdez crap that's called wally winding if you are right handed its your strong arm so why would you play a fish left handed week arm or are you going to swap back
I know little about setting a bait casting reel and I know you are trying.. but your advice is too vague and not accurate. Set the left side at 1 then with the right side completely tightened down, slowly loosen the knob until your lure very slowly falls to the ground with very little spool line movement. You then turn your left side to about 9. Then cast with your thumb gently feathering the spool. This is how I would begin as a beginner. You can adjust the left side as you get more experience. Good luck
Everardo Cipriano start with a loop at hook end wrap around line 5 or 6 times through the eye of the loop back through the eye of loop made from the first loop pull tight cut tag close to knot. simple knot but works, still to have it come undone.
oh the good ol backlash,,,wish i had your vid when i started using a baitcaster. good video though for sure, check out my channel if u get a sec. Fish on!
Ahahah :D First time I tried one of those big ambassadour reels, It looked like a birds nest when I casted. I used some 500 meters of line before I got how to use it right :D Would be a good video!
No he's not. He has the brakes off, which is on the LEFT. The spool tentioner on the RIGHT is also set tight. Using a heavy weight is the only reson its not backlashing. This is the worse video for people. Smh
In Australia they are $2.99 with free braided line and a big mac burger plus a years supply of Fishing Weekly plus some other cool stuff as well......mmm

The drag is the star, brakes is the look left dial (btw you had them on no brakes),spool tension is the right knob

Thank You for the explanation on how to cast. Considering this reel but always afraid of that birds nest.

You have no clue what you are talking about.
I was gonna say he had his drag and brake wayyyy off.

I just purchased my firts bait cast, this Black Max and 😜😁😁😁 having problems casting
glad other people besides me think the same thing
Thank you sir. You have given an awesome example of how not to use a bait caster.😵💫
U have it reversed your brake is on the left side drag on the right and cast control knob on the right
FeAr Pulze exactly what I was thinking!!
Cool thanks man thought a young fisherman a new trick 😂

I’ve just brought that same reel yet to use it but this video should save me a few tangles

What pound test was this?

Great video. First time using a bait caster reel.
You're screwed
Casting right handed with a left handed reel its called wally winding
Honesty thank you pretty helpfull tbh
What is is black knob beside the reel?
It’s the drag tension if ur on about the black dial like a Ninja star
I think the drag is on the right
Thanks
0:36 that's at min

IvanIValdez - thanks for that input but after a while I feel more comfortable with the method I I mentioned without any problems

we have the same setup😂
how to set the breaks on it make a video
No clue what your talking about
Or you can do it the right way!
I’m not a genius but u said that backwards I think my guy 🥴

Why does my lure breaks off when I cast
Everardo Cipriano your knot is probably wrong
Kirk Carlson what would be good knot
Everardo Cipriano improved clinch, as long as it's not on braid. Or palomar or uni knot
Everardo Cipriano you have a tiny knot in your spool making it so your line stops at certain place check your line
Everardo Cipriano start with a loop at hook end wrap around line 5 or 6 times through the eye of the loop back through the eye of loop made from the first loop pull tight cut tag close to knot. simple knot but works, still to have it come undone.
Man you got everything backwards on this. Do you even know the difference from the brake, spool tentioner, and the drag? 🤣
Nonononnono
oh the good ol backlash,,,wish i had your vid when i started using a baitcaster. good video though for sure, check out my channel if u get a sec. Fish on!

A lil weight that’s a slinky on your line
no clue
y most ppl leave out a loop
You messed up the drag and the brakes
wow so ez
He is right

🤦🏻♂️
ryan bingham it is true he has no clue
Lol you know it
LOL
bait caser on a spnning reel pole lol nooooooooooooo
it works its my crappie set-up didnt need a nice pole for it.
That's a casting rod not a spinning rod. You can see the trigger on the bottom towards the end of the video
Line guides on a spinning rod are large , also no trigger on a spinning rod. This is most likely a youth casting rod.
ha funny I got the same reel for 15 bucks
Haha no you didnt
Alex VDK yeah you definitely didn't. I have the same one. I'm the reel itself is $40.
In Australia they are $2.99 with free braided line and a big mac burger plus a years supply of Fishing Weekly plus some other cool stuff as well......mmm
Ha funny no you didn’t
Lol bait Master 🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣 you don't know what you are talking about
