I bought this the week it came out (on CD for maximum cred) in my 18th year, and I liked it. It always makes me think of being outdoors, in back gardens, on cool but pleasant nights. After Helicon it was an unexpected departure, but I loved the drum machine from the off, and when I shortly after discovered Arab Strap, I could hear their influence on this tune.
Quite good he said, it's a masterpiece. Mogwai does not make music like this anymore :| Superheroes of BMX forever in my heart.

Early Mogwai...But I do love this song...Will go seeing them playing live in Nîmes at the end of March 2014. Saw them twice before : in Barcelona in May 2003, under some heavy rains, and in July 2011 at a music festival in Aix Les Bains (France).
This, my friends, is the real music.

And they were all like 19 yrs old when this was recorded. It's obviously not an every day song, but as a statement, its fvcking phenomenal.

Most Mogwai songs are random titles, though some such as 'You're Lionel Richie' is what Stuart Braithwaite of the band said when seeing Richie in an airport, but there is rarely a connection between the title and the track it belongs to, as is the case here.
