    G'Day mate, great video. Have you done or can you please share (step by step) how to sync the Panasonic Lumix S5 II with the DJI RS3 Mini gimble, as I have just purchased both & for the life of me I can't get the camera & gimble to work together.... :( I am very knew to all this & would greatly appreciate any assistance to enjoy these awesome pieces of equipment.... :)

      Hey man! Thanks for watching. It should be the same steps for other mirrorless cameras too. The S5ii might require a software update to pair since it's still new.
      1. Connect USB-C cables to both devices
      2. Enable bluetooth on both devices
      3. Allow bluetooth pairing on camera (Should be under "Network")
      4. Allow bluetooth pairing on gimbal

      @@TECH360TV Hey mate, the information you advised didn't work. Given that you appeared to have had the Lumix S5 II working with your RS3 Mini...how'd you sync them?

    • @TECH360TV
      @TECH360TV  Год назад

      @@Navron2K11 Yes sir I was using the RS3 Mini in this video but I didn't use the bluetooth functions however. It's stated in DJI's list of camera compatibility where the S5 is included but cant confirm about the mark 2.
      Either way, it functions by a simple bluetooth connection and shouldn't be an issue. Have you updated firmwares on both devices?

      @@TECH360TV yes, I'm contacting DJI support to assist.....very frustrating given the new technology that should just work..

      @@Navron2K11 Yeah I get your frustration. DJI is really buggy for the first few months after release. Have to stay patient with their firmware updates.

    Riddle me this, how do you export your car video for the cinematic aspect ratio

      not much of a riddle. Just look up Adobe Premiere tips on Google.

    Please tell me this is true, Panasonic s5 mark2 - MOV 1080p 4.2.2 10 bit 24/25/30fps FF (Full-Frame) uses PDAF. 1080p 4.2.2. 10 bits 50/60fps FF use DFD (old contrast method). APS-C 1080p 50/60fps mode uses PDAF? Or just in the MР4?

    • @karikaru
      @karikaru Год назад +2

      This is true for now. Maybe they will make full frame 50/60fps FHD PDAF enabled through firmware but nothing has been promised. At least it seems like the dfd had also been improved slightly in these modes so it's not as bad but still nowhere near as good as PDAF unfortunately

      Interesting how this exact same comment, word-for-word, is posted in nearly every LUMIX S5II review but by different users.... Bot much?

    • @albertos3636
      @albertos3636 Год назад +1

      @@PANAFRAZER no, Im not a bot, Im just wondering why all the videos are shown in 4k, and the rest of the formats are as if no one needs it. I have S1 and I shoot in MOV 1080p 4.2.2 50 fps 100mb. For me, this is a good picture that weighs little, and 4K takes up a lot of memory on disks, here.

      @@albertos3636 Same here bro. NO one is talking about 1080 P. I shoot almost all my videos in 1080P.

      Hey sorry for the late reply, wanted to get an official response from Panasonic but they couldn't specify an answer for the PDAF performance in APS-C FullHD 50/60p.
      As far as I know, it should be using PDAF and not Contrast AF. I can only tell from my personal experience with the camera. MOV FullHD 24/25/30/50/60p all are quite responsive similar 4K 4:2:2 10 bit quality I tried. Will let you know once I try again with the camera sometime soon.

      Can the Panasonic S5 Mark ii do 8 bit in all formats aswell as 10 bit. As I would use the 8 bit for long form interviews.
