  • Berlin is a city with a rich and tragic past, including as one of the epicenters of World War II and the Cold War, but some of its history is being lost to the ages. One rule-breaking photographer and amateur historian is working to capture that past before it's lost. Brooks Silva-Braga has more.

I’m frequently fascinated when Newscasters use Words Incorrectly yet do it with such sincerity and passion.
Lady in Pink: Get a Dictionary and look up the word ‘Largesse’.

6:00 It's all a matter of money. Renovating these old buildings costs millions. Some of the Belitz buildings are actually now renovated and the old Olympic Village from 1936 was abandoned after 1990 (used by the Russian army) and just recently partly turned into apartments.
There are also a lot of Abandoned-Places YT channels in relation to the US.

As someone who grew up hanging out in an abandoned psychiatric hospital (Kings Park Psychiatric Center) this is awesome.

I grew up in a communist country and went back last year after 11 years away and it broke my heart to see the things that are not there anymore. Wrong or right sone one need to preserve something for the next generations. My kids loved everything they saw. For them it was like travelling back to the past. Soviets stuff, etc.

This guy is a German national treasure. Been on his sight, been to Beelitz, the Spreepark and others. Always illegally, way more fun this way. Urban exploration in Berlin and the surrounding areas is always off the charts amazing.
