    I like how Marantz literally built the Fuse board first, and then layered everything else around and over it.

    I owned a Marantz AV7005 and I'm wondering if you know what causing a loud thump sound on my speaker when watching movies and listening to music with heavy bass ? Bought a brand new speakers and cables too but it keeps on doing a loud thump . My prepro and amplifier is only . 3years old . I'm suspecting it's the processor because the sound is ok at first but after few minutes when the bass starts it will thump like a heartbeat sound. Please help. Thank you in advance.

      Sorry I did't mentioned. It's not truly balanced. Audio signal is converted to balanced straight after the HDAM circuit using AZ4580 monolithic dual low noise operational amplifiers.

    I know preamp XLR output is 4 volts max. If you run it thru XLR to RCA converter, does the voltage drop to around 2 Volts? In other words, XLR output is capable to play music louder than RCA. Am I correct?

      Thanks for you comment. Unfortunately I don't have I plan to make a video about Marantz SR7015 at this moment. These are my personal Marantz components, no one is providing me with them. So I'm a bit limited from this perspective. However, teardown video of Marantz MM8807 7 channel amplifier is almost ready, and hopefully I will upload it in about a week. Also I'm hoping to make a video about Marantz AV8806 as soon as (and if...) it comes out.

    Hi.. I am a big fan of your teardown videos and enjoy them a lot. I also like the fact that you are tearing down gear that is accessible and not something niche only for the super rich.
    Looking at the fact that you own(ed) an AV7705, I am tempted to ask what is your opinion of the device and its sound quality? I ask because it got terrible review on audiosciencereview . Do you notice any flaws in day to day usage? Thanks

    • @boredtech
      @boredtech  3 года назад +1

      First of all thank you for such a great response!
      Personally I'm very happy that I have decided to buy AV7705 instead of SR7013, it opened me whole lot of opportunities.
      Sound wise, when I swapped my SR7500 to AV7705 I heard significant difference. Sound was great. Even when I have updated to AV8805A the difference wasn't so noticeable.
      And I did not experienced any issues with my unit.
      I believe it's a great product for its price range.

    • @paulsoumya
      @paulsoumya 3 года назад +1

      @@boredtech Thanks for the response. In fact even the AV8805 (and the AV8805A) has shown terrible measurements on audiosciencereview. Was wondering if you could tear down some other gear that has good measurements so as to see how things are (perhaps) done differently. In any case, keep making the wonderful videos 👍🏻

      Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately I can't answer your question as I never had a chance to listen and look inside the Yamaha A6A receiver. Maybe in the future when my channel grows and I will get access to wider range of equipment I will be able to answer your question.
