    • @oinkyshploinky
      @oinkyshploinky 8 месяцев назад +3

      Difference is, a professional soccer player has the cardio and the core strength needed to survive a fight, so does a basketball player, and a baseball player, and a football player. Even if they don't train specifically to fight, they indirectly are better suited for fights than the rest of us because they are ATHLETIC. That's the key word here. Most sports, even if they don't get you better at fighting, will make you more athletic, and thus indirectly more ready to fight. Modern professional bodybuilding does the exact opposite, it REDUCES your athleticism.

    • @Marko-ij4vy
      @Marko-ij4vy 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@oinkyshploinkyFighters need strength also. Lifting weights will make you stronger. And being bigger is also advantage in a fight. There is a reason there are weight classes in combat sports. Take away weight classes and the smaller/scrawnier fighters wont beat fighters in heavier weight classes. Put prime Alistair Overeem or Brock Lesnar against Connor McGregor and Lesnar/Overeem would kill him simply due to big size advantage. If a 150 soccer player whos never been in a fight was put against 240 powerlifter whos also never been in a fight (powerlifter is bigger and strogner and soccer player has better cardio)n my bet would still be on the powerlifter whos bigger and stronger. Also when you lift weights and build size/strength no ones stoping you to do cardio also. Being big and strong doesnt mean your cardio has to suck.

    • @jasurbekjovboriyev8604

      @@Marko-ij4vyhey,brock Lesnar,overeeem have skills.They are not just bodybuilders that lift weights but can't fight.Use your stupid logic.Don't compare bodybuilders to fighters with muscles.185 fighter can beat the shit out of 260 bodybuilder.The reason why you can't compare ngannou to Conor is because they both have skills, that's where strength plays a role but your raw power doesn't do shit for you if you don't know how to fight.You have not trained to fight,have you?

      lol. Strength is LITERALLY the most functional of all lol. The stronger you are the less you have to exert yourself. For example, my wife is a runner, if me and my wife are tasked with lifting 100 fifty pound bags of concrete and loading them in my truck bed I am going to destroy her. She will just lifting each bag, she'll have to engage every major muscle in her body and exert heavily with every lift, after 50 bags she'll be so exhausted she can't move. Meanwhile I just grab the bag with 1 hand and rag doll it with little effort. I could do it all day long and never get tired because I don't have to exert. Her cardio is way better than mine, but I'm more "Functional" because I'm 5 times stronger.

      @Youngster543210 that kinda not really a good example cause one your man and she is woman of your gonna lift more plus you said strength but never mentioned what type of strength workout you do you might have done deadlift or squat that are all athletic base exercises even powe cleans but hey you might be right

      @@Youngster543210and plus what type of runner endurance or fast runner and plus ofc you gonna beat here and plus functional doesn't mean lifting and running functions mean speed , aglit6, endurance, flexibility not just lifting thing up and running with it plus you did say she has better cardio then you so you just might be better at strength but she better than you in endurance plus her ability to run longer is more beneficial to the average human than you just being able to lift up things to run on the back

      @Goatfan2k Irrelevant. The example still applies even if she was a man. More strength means less exertion. No such thing as "athletic based movements". Squats and deadlfits are basic patterns that aren't exclusively performed by athletes, "bodybuilders duuur" do them too.
      No her ability to run long distances is actually completely worthless in 2024 lol. You know how many times I've been required to run long distanced in my daily life? This many: "0". In fact NOBODY is required to run long distance except people who compete in sports that involve running long distances. And if you compete in such sports you should obviously practice running long distances since that's what you're going to compete. But in terms of general functionality, strength is BY FAR thr most important. And a properly designed strength training routine will effectively address cardiovascular and metabolic conditioning anyway.

    I have never met a bodybuilder in real life that I wouldn’t have been able to smack around when I was just sixteen, only played sports, and didn’t do any serious lifting. It’s all just peacock feathers.
