He was put in a holding cell then he appealed the decision, after a while the judge let him out and put him on house arrest, then appealed for the house arrest like two months ago and the judge ordered it was to be lifted. I imagine what he means is more a cathartic state, which is more nuanced than just 'crying'. Catharsis can be had when listening to deeply personal and deep music for some people. It's silly to use a broad term like 'crying', which some people do if they step on a piece of Lego, to something more complex. Catharsis comes from the greek for 'cleanse' and 'pure'. Tears can happen during those moments, but it's not relevant to what is actually happening.
That's my takeaway from hearing that in context, anyway.
