Great question. When I was on the hunt, I stayed away from the R2 due to the build quality (individuals complained about the support bar and other aspects of the build), the display wasn’t in a place where it was easy to see, and there were some other things but I can’t remember. I’d watch some R2 reviews and compare.
Hey Edralin! I researched your issue, and I couldn’t find much if information regarding that message. I recommend reaching out to their customer service: www.walkingpad.com/pages/contact
Would the X21 fit under a standing desk? I'm hesitating with the R2 because I'm sure that one can go from treadmill to walking pad (the handle comes down), but on the other hand, I like the higher speed limit on X21
Yes it does, however, it’s a little awkward adjusting speed and stuff. That’s the only issue. Besides that, it’s great. I use it while working and gaming.
The app is better than you think. You can link it to health on the iPhone and it will automatically update r activity. Also, it does have an Apple Watch app if you choose to use it. I just do a connection in the morning to the iPhone and use it through out the day. Also, the walkingpad no longer comes with silicon lubricant, you need to buy it separately.
Thanks, have you had a chance to compare that with other products such as A1Pro? What is about the noise levels? A1Pro activates the cooling fan after 100 meter, which has a high pitch - does X21 do the same? Or is that silent? Thinking about replacing to x21 for my walking routine (2-3 km/h)
Hello! Great questions! 1. Haven’t tested the A1 Pro 2. I haven’t heard a fan of any sort, but we mainly focus between 2-5 Mike runs/walks 3. I chose this product because I liked the speed and I wanted to occasionally run. But overall it’s been a great investment, and low noise. The wheel part has been frustrating, I felt they could have made them larger for moving it around.
I think I understand what you’re trying to ask. Are you stating that, when running barefoot or with socks, do I feel the folded part? If you’re asking that, yes, you can notice it while running barefoot or with socks.
@@kennethstevens5711 Hi! Do you have the X21 and use it barefoot (or in socks)? So you do not feel the hinge? Trying to figure it if I can use it barefoot without the hinge becoming annoying after 10 mins or more.
Really? hmm. I would reach out to Walkingpad to see if that is normal. I've had mine on our cement basement floor and carpet, and haven't heard cracking.
Thank you for this detailed review! Liked that you compared it to Apple of treadmills. Do you think it’s a quality and long-term purchase? I have a space-limited little gym at home. I’m looking for smtg to add extra steps + light run/jogging + foldable so I can remove it when not using. As a warm up walking, and light cardio, namely. But without paying thousands of euros. Would you recommend this model or smtg else?
@asambi69 is correct. I have the same treadmill, you're only supposed to use one line of lubricant horizontally across the width of the pad every 2-3 mths depending on how frequently you use it. After applying the lubricant walk on the pad at 3kmph for 2-3 mins to let the lubricant spread. Once the lubricant has spread you are good to go for the next 2-3 mths. If you put too much lubricant you can increase the stress on the motor and can cause overheating or potentially slippage of the belt while in use. That being said not using enough can also have negative effects too... But the amount applied in the video was indeed a bit excessive. Just be cautious, nobody wants to see anyone get hurt because of the tread slipping during use or the motor overheating. 😊 It's a great little unit though, I run 5km on it daily.

Thanks John!
You are good at what you do! Solid treadmill.
Can you get the walking pad r2 pro and give a comparison between x21.
If I had the cash I would! haha
Very informative review! You deserve much more views! ☺️
Thanks!

This is a really good review. How come you only have 2k subs?
Thanks for the kind words!!
Not gonna lie, until I saw the price, you'd sold me on a treadmill 🤣

Hello, I have X21 and my max speed is 9km/h. How can I change it to 12km/h?
Anyone feels this "fold point" beneath while walking ?Just bought it yesterday and it’s not ok.
Yes, I feel it mainly without shoes. With shoes, I can't tell much.
just wonder what’s the difference between X21 and R2 pro except the stat display and the button?

Be on the lookout for the MX16 which is the successor to this
Is it normal that i feel the bend in the middle while walking ?
Hmmm may have to adjust the height, the knobs on the bottom?
My R1 treadmill shows “Fold” in the screen. Do you know how to resolve this?

Do you feel the hinge, when the foot is pulled over the hinge or isn't it noticable at all?
I think I understand what you’re trying to ask. Are you stating that, when running barefoot or with socks, do I feel the folded part? If you’re asking that, yes, you can notice it while running barefoot or with socks.
If you have it on a flat surface you shouldn’t notice the hinge. I have mine on a rubber mat also. @@ShadelessDen
