Even have a terrible radar and not having BVR capabilities, I love to play with my Su-27SM and just by learning how to have good early positioning in this channel I manage to get matches with 7 kills both with Su-27SM and MiG-29SMT. Thank you Captain Karma.

The Mirage at 1:30 I don't think they even processed what happened. Most people in a dorito will see an SU27 at close range and will think it's free food. Not a single moment he got any close to your behind. then soon after he was eating bullets and missle. He must have left a bit confused about who has the better flight performance.

I was reading about the su27s, and it’s impressive how much wrong information there is about this fighter out there, people say the flanker makes a turn and loses all its energy, but its aerodynamic model is pretty refined and perfect for energy retention, It’s not like the Flanker is doing instant AOA or 120° cobras all the time, the energy efficiency for the turn it makes is incredible. I thought the praise the USAF released about this plane was fake news or something like that. I also saw the interview with a Canadian F-18 pilot who flew this plane at the 1986 Le Bourget airshow, and he praised it a lot, saying it was unlike anything he had ever flown before
They buffed the energy retention with the last update adding rafale and eurofighter
It's cool what the soviets did, they got their hands on stolen F-15 schematics and combined it with their test planes which ended up with the su-27 being created.

@@touchgrass7834that’s incorrect actually. The MiG-29 manual from east Germany says that the seeker is narrowed as soon as lock is achieved because it was meant to be a dogfight missile and flares were assumed to be continually dumped.
@@touchgrass7834 In game the seeker is narrowed to 0.75° after launch, or at least it worked like that when it was released. Idk what did Gaijin change about them but they seem to be way more flare hungry than back then.

The missile knows where it is at all times. Karma, i don't understand why when i play this and F-15C my fox-3 almost always connects, but with Eurofighter is a whole different story, i have to fight so hard to get kills.
Sometimes, you're not deceiving the missile's IOG enough. Remember, the Eurofighter is pulling infinite Gs even at over 1500 km/h, the plane just doesn’t compress, i definitely don’t think it should be used as a reference since it’s bound to get major fixes sooner or later
@Bad_Karma777 I don't know why but, F-15C and Su-27SM gameplay is so chill, but when i on EF seems like everyone is chasing me. In ground RB is another story tho, this plane can destroy the entire team.

Поставил талисман на него и не пожалел(когда до тошноты противно летать на 23ml). Но радар удручает... много раз когда через нашлемку не смог в лоб захватывать цели и получал в ответ. Вожу с собой еще 2 р27ер. Это для убегающих от меня в даль, когда р77 любит кушать диполи и multipath в таких случаях. После последнего обновления стало в разы приятнее летать, так как скорость он стал держать лучше.

su27sm is really fun with the r77's at close range but i prefer the su27S a bit more because i can use the r27er/et and r73's down at 12.0. it feels like the su27 is back in its glory days before fox 3's. its fairly easy to get lots of kills too because of the premiums, ive gotten 8 kill games before!
this plane is gonna be a legacy once the Oswald coefficient finally gets fixed, more energy retention, better turning, the r77 fix that could give it around 2-5 km more effective range. It might not seem like much, but it's gonna improve the flanker's performance A LOT
edit: stop playing well with this plane, or the snail will never finish fixing it 😆

i have this playstyle i use with a lot of rank 7 and 8 jets, I stay low go left, sling missiles but stay stuck the the ground. I usually never engage in dogfights, I just fly right past them, slinging missiles at the enemies ahead of me. I never do the BVR playstyle.
Imagine how much harder WarThunder would be if people looked up once in a while 😂

First question is that I have f15e and f16c. At high speed f15e cannot do manuver very well so generally i cannot use it like ur plays. Do you have any advice me? Rafael and typhoon better then f15c.
Second question is that you can share with us your controller setting? Keyboard and mouse please.

The F15E has a really strong early game, you can easily rush and apply pressure at the start of the match, but after that, you play more like a support aircraft for your team. If there’s no team, things get really tough for you
about the controls, that’s something really personal, everyone has their own preferences, their own keyboard and mouse... each person should figure out their own setup. I do plan to teach a thing or two exclusively for members, but not everything

Its better to have a keybind for flares and chaff separatly

little by little, planes are getting fixed, and the flanker is becoming one of the best dogfighters in the game, i keep wondering when the fulcrum will get its fixes
I feel like anyone can do good in the su27sm since it holds 12 of the best missiles and has a insane flight performance. As of right now there is no US counter

i don't agree, because the instructor in the AIM mode is a FBW for FBW, there are planes that will only reach full maneuverability if you disable that assist, and one of them is the flanker

Of course not, sometimes I die without doing anything, sometimes I get gaijined, im just like a regular player, In general, I have 2.5 +/- kills per spawn and a bit more than 3 kills per spawn in the flanker

The TWS radar on my SU27/SU27SM doesn't work, can anyone help me?
The best mode is TWS HDN, which is way more efficient for targets heading towards you, normal TWS is good for chasing or when there are only a few targets detected on the radar

Who knows, the f14 is practically unplayable in uptiers and not fun at all in downtiers. It's one of the planes being negatively affected by the absurd top tier compression...
