I got this plane a year or more ago not even on sale and its my only WT purchase i dont regret. literally such an amazing jett, amazing acceleration, Amazing turning, 4X R60Ms are good, R24Rs are insane, radar is decent. i love every single thing about it
Ah, so this is why you were flying out the Mig-23ML. You almost shot my stock F-15J down before I ended up having some of the best and most fun fights I've had so far, and I only found out about this a few days later, when I opened the replay, so I could experience it again. I hope next time we end up in the same match, it'll be on the same team! :D

the 23ML is perfectly fine at 11.3, a lot of other planes first would need to go down before it budges even slightly.

I enjoyed my time with the ML. It got me up through the Russian tree with little effort. R-24s just clap. and 2 kills a game with a premium plane and premium time is all you need to efficiently grind

The Mig-23ML is probably one of the best premiums I've ever bought in WT for the purpose of SL grinding and research. There's also a unique feature (unsure if this is present on other aircrafts) that the Mig-23ML can IR lock onto other jets which gives you an advantage when using R-60Ms or R-24Ts. So unless if your target is aware of you, they won't know a missile is launched because it's IR locking and not radar locking.

I agree, I Talisman'd my MiG-23 MLD and never looked back. Same with the F-5E and J-7E. All great jets perfectly suited for air RB, even with the curse of 16v16 where no one can really clutch up consistently anymore. But, hey, the Ta-152 H has always been the king of air RB, and has been for many years now. I remember a time when it just came out it was so horrible. Same with Do-335, all great planes now. Just insane how 1 letter difference makes the MLD and ML premium so different in performance overall in this current meta.
F105d flaps don't deploy after takeoff anymore. I'm not sure if other aircraft have been experiencing that recently.
people dont seem to realise that the MiG-23 can pull really high AOA with its wings swept fully back and at lower speed. I use it to catch people off gaurd for the first turn. I wouldn't be surprised if it could beat a mirage in a rolling scissors.

The only problem i have, and aperantly only me, my radar simply wont lock anybody anymore, i havent experianced this with my mig23ml ever before. Every time i try to lock an enemy now it locks for 0.5 seconds and then the lock fumbles. It has made the r24r's useless to me and sadly i cant really use this plane anymore becaus r24t's are really good but everybody constantly flares

Above all, the Gripen needs a nerve of its heat signature... He's banned from competitions because of that, he doesn't give off much heat and above all yes he's a little more efficient than irl. The F16 remains consistent.

As some1 with a positive kd+around 600games in the ML, I'd say this plane is perfect even if its a 11.7. A few nerfs will be rly good for other planes to compete at this rank since this since dominates rn.

I had 5 downtiers in 150 games in Mig-23MLD. The rest was only 12.0 and 12.3 . After nerf its gonna be so much fun I suppose...
The mig23mld was my one of my all time favorites. When i played it the teams were insanely good, around 75 percent winrate, and the flight model was very good, being able tobasically everything at your own br and being able to rate fight better planes than you

@@contemptordreadnought I play mostly for fun, and the IS-6 was tier IV when I got it. Couldn’t go past rank V without it not researching effectively. Got 450 games, almost 900 kills in it, keeping in mind I sucked at the game when I got it (still do).
Edit: oh, I see you meant the MiG-23ML. I got it mainly to grind the Su-11, Su-25, and the Mig-15bis. I sold the Obj.292 for it, which I regret VERY MUCH now.

They should have made better engines and not been so shit at metallurgy and structure work.
The 27 and 29 in game already have much better thrust to weight than in real life in all altitudes, while the 16c is lower than real life.

Man ive just been starting to enjoy the mig23s in sim, nerfing the flight model on the mig 23 when its the only plane in its br bracket that can really stand up to the bigger usa/brit/french teams is really going to kill the 10.3-11.3 sim bracket. You allready struggle to find a game playing usa because there is no one playing the other team, making the only good plane the other team has worse is going to compound that.

Damn I love the mig I just had a game where I killed a f16 f15 and mig 29 with r24t. Personally I wouldn’t recommend the r24r because of the radar because it just seems inconsistent. And also it’s all personal preference cus I followed what everyone else said (the r24r ) and I was only getting like 7k each game and I tried the r24t and now on average I get like 23k
But the r24r is pretty strong in headons or side aspect with mti radar easy kills but if enemy pays attention and drops 2 flares even when not even flaring bc of your missile the r24t will miss so radar is better
And when they roll out Premium Rank VIII SuperMiG-21 they are gonna nerf R73 as well.
And I was thinking I will grind the MiG-29 with the MiG-23MLA😢😢

If you enjoy sim the su-39 will get you a ton of research and so from taking out bases and has two r-73s

My favorite part about this plane is it being mach 2 capable in a real match. Ive outrun f16s at high alt, its hilarious, they literally cannot catch you.
My second favorite part is the ability to 1v3 phantoms. And theyre going to do away with all that....bruh why do they insist on ruining everyone's fun?!

Mig-23's are an absolute Pigs IRL.
USA purchased Mig-23 from Egypt during the Cold War.
The Navy F-4's run circles around them.
F-4E absolutely clowned it in a turn fight.
USSR purchased F-5's from USA's ally and during their tests, the F-5 clowned both Mig-21s and 23s and mind you, the F-5 was piloted by a Russian pilot with like 4h of flight time on that thing.
Mig-23's only good side was the acceleration, for it could out-accelerate F-14A for the brief moment before the lock was acquired.
