Just a suggestion for folks but perhaps the under-over each thread could be done as the very first pass, then it saves you doing that at the end. I would also consider doing the under-over of each thread in the swoop of the flap on the first pass, giving that nice curved edge, then go on to do the under-over two from the tip and add as you go as you did. I hope that makes sense. It would save all the fiddly weaving at the end :) Just a thought though, some people might find it easier to do it exactly the way you have shown. Great video, thank you for sharing. T x
@@libbysmigelski4147 Unfortunately sometimes just because it makes sense in our head that does not mean others will understand it in written form lol but I am glad you got it in the end. :) T x
You could still do 2 strands, just start between the pins so the loops are secured from the get go! When you get to the edges where you wrap around, you'll be back to having 2 strands, just one on each side of the card.
If you start at the bottom, with the first row of weaving along the edge space between the front and the back, you can make the bottom more firm, where it gets the most wear. By starting at the bottom, you and weave the loops as a row, and finish the curve as its own row. This will eliminate a couple of steps and fewer ends to weave by finishing the warp loops last.
This is so cool! I've never seen this before and I can't wait to give it a try. The texture is wonderful. I like the effect on the edge of the flap - it looks like a row of rustic stitching. Thank you so much for this great demonstration.
Thank you Arounna, I have been following you on Instagram for a while, this is the first tutorial I watch. I love the pouch and the idea of trying my hand at (small) weaving, so I am going to give it a go. Your instructions are very straightforward and clear, thank you for sharing, and I love all your projects ❤
When I was younger and putting myself through college I worked at a big manufacturing place where I weaved in big huge machines. I worked myself up to 21 and I would have to walk around all night and make sure they were working, checking to make sure there were no defects in it. If the machines stopped I would have to figure out what happened and sometimes that invoked looking to see which ones of the tiny threads broke and doing a weavers knot to get the two ends back together. It was hard work for 8 hours a night before going to class the next day but it was full filling bc I was making something that looked completely different from start to finish. I wonder if one of these threads break if you would do a weavers knot to put the two ends back together and it blend in the same way? It’s been years but I would enjoy making something like with a weavers technique by hand instead of by machine. Thank you for the video!
saw ur insta reel about this, liked it and moved on, then saw more weaving things so searched for a tut and found your tut video for this lol, fun how things work
This is beautiful!!! I saw your reel a couple of days ago and today I decided to start with this tutorial. I must say you explain really well and I'm sooo happy with the result 🥹💖💖💖💖 thank you so much and hi from Chile 🤗
Thank you for a very interesting video. I also saw your post on Instagram so it's lovely to have an in depth tutorial. I love the pouches you sew and show too. I'm looking for some corrugated cardboard straight away.
There are joins in knit and crochet that eliminate the tails. Another option to hide tails would be taken from tatting - lay the tails along the warp and weave over them.
Hello Arounna! So good to find your channel here, I've been following your beautiful work for quite some time and always been enchanted by the beauties you create. Thank you for this video, so well explained, I will try it for sure.🌺
Wow, how do you do it! I was just in need of a tutourial and little project like this, and here you are. I love how you explain this too, so nice and friendly. Thank you so much
Hello Arounna, Wow! This is my 1st time getting your channel! This video was fantastic!!! I’ve never seen anything like this on RUclips!! What a great project!! It seems very meditative & relaxing! You give great instructions with nice explanations!! This video was fun to watch!! I will definitely try this seamless pouch!! I just subscribed & now I’m looking forward to seeing what else is on this channel!! Thank you👍🏻🤗🙌🏻🙌🏻😊
Hi! Love this craft. When you're weaving the final strand so the piece doesn't fall apart, how do you incorporate the knotted strings? Since it's not a loop like the others... I struggled to do this.
I am curious if I did something wrong. On the side with curve, I have an uneven number of the warp threads. There is a lone thread at the end with knot on it. All the rest are pairs,
Another person 8 months ago had the same issue. On each side there is a single row that has the knot in it. How is it incorporated into the total weave?
Hi! Can I make a tutorial of this in Portuguese (for Tiktok) after this video? I'll use my own footage and cite your tutorial and your channel. If you can, you can approve it before I upload it.

Yes, that does make sense. It is "six of one and half a dozen of the other"😅, but nice to know there are the two options. Thanks for this suggestion👍🙂
Lol It made sense after I read it like four times but that does sound easier

I totally get what you are saying, thank you for this tip :)
Interesting. I've always wondered how this was done, and never looked into it. I'm glad I clicked on this video first. Great work
We used to do pin weaving back in the 70's. It's nice to see that it is making a comeback!
I too learned this in the 70’s. I’ve made many bags this way. I now use foam core.
Great job!
Seen on tiktok, just finishing the last step on a 3d pouch for my tarot deck ✨ thank you so much!
Saw this first on Insta, so glad to see the full instructions!

yes that is a good option too, I mentioned that one too, I just prefer to do it this way, it feels more secure for me
Thank you so much for sharing this! ❤️
You are so welcome!😄
I can’t wait to try this. Thanks for making the video!

I love it!!! Thank you so much!!!
You’re welcome ☺️
Thanks this is nice and do-able. Could you give and numbers like 'for 30 pins, make the curve in 20 inceeasing rows' or something like that?
Thank you!
❤❤❤
Could you share how to do other patterns my son would love this !
I love it!❤
So very fun.
I love this ❤❤❤❤

I am having the same issue. Did you ever figure out a solution?????
Is there a certain number of warp threads that are needed? Odd or even count?

Bu yöntem ile bluz kazak yapılamaz mı
Gracias!!! 😍
happy you like it😄
where did you get tgat comb? what kind of comb is it? very short small teeth...
Thank you so much for this tutorial-looks like fun! What weight is the baker's twine? It looks thinner than the twine available in the stores.
Buy it at the grocery store especially now during bird roasting season..
it's around 6 ply but you can use something thicker too
@@az55544 Thanks. I thought the twine in the video looked thinner than the grocery store twine.
@@bookhoudesign Thanks. The twine in the video looks thinner. Good to know.
Oh, do you think that I could use strong cotton instead of baker's twine for the warp? Would that work?
Yes you definitely can 😊

Wowser! Just wowser! Are you still on Creative Bug?)
I have three courses on there 😄
❤
😲👏👏👏👏
Can you assist me with what type of white floss is , and the link on Amazon 🤔 thank you
I used a 6 ply bakers twine, but it will work with wool too
Is there a reason to use bakers twine for the warp thread vs other yarn?
it was just something I had on hand, you can use yarn or any other string
How do you sew on the loop for the button? And is it leather?
OK. I went back to the beginning of the video, and I can see how you stitched it down. 😊
every time you used the scissors to lift the threads I cringed afraid you would cut them !!
It seems easier to do the last step as the first step.
sure feel free to do what you think is easiest, I just found this way easy for me 😊
What are the measurements of the cardboard?
It’s mentioned in the beginning 5x7 inches
Thanks
This is so wonderful, thank you!
You're welcome, happy you enjoyed it 😊
