Good video! To be honest, I find the Octodad relationship with parenting much more relatable than Kratos. I'm not a parent myself, but early adulthood has often felt like I've been trying not to show how messy even normal-seeming tasks are. The idea of octopus-parenthood just being an extension of "learning on the fly" is a hilarious concept, but one I have a lot of empathy for. God of War on the other hand is just...like I said, I'm not a parent. But Kratos' behavior throughout is borderline abusive, and while that's a valid thing to have in a story, I never empathized because he's just such an asshole. So I never felt like I got the pride of seeing my son grow up, because I just couldn't relate to Kratos at all. But maybe my perspective on that will change with time.
I'm not a parent either, but knowing that every parent has a bit of a tough time getting to grips with raising kids (like OctoDad) is a comforting thought since there really is no handbook to the whole kids thing. Kratos is totes an arse at the beginning of God of War, but I still enjoyed watching his character develop over time - his abusive behavior is eventually redeemed later as he sees the value in his relationship with his son. It's a good arc, but it can lay on the nasty side of him a little too thick at times, but I understand why they wrote it that way.
Excellent video, great insight about the audience growing up
This analysis is very well made! WhyTF is YT burying it
Keep up the awesome work!

Hello I love your videos, can you make a review on omori
It's on my Steam wishlist! I will say that I'm a bit of a scardy cat though - not sure if I'll have the courage to see it through!
