The"extra" piece for the Star dish. It's so you don't have to fill up the mold so much and have a "hollow" lid instead of a solid lid. It goes into the lid after the desired resin is poured for it to be full when the insert is put in. I hope you understand what I'm talking about. I hope this helps. Love your videos
This is absolutely phenomenal. The depth and 3D effect is amazing. You have the patience of a saint and unbelievable steady hands for such intricate details!
I’m literally doing this mold now too! I’ve sold multiple ones! I’m gonna try painting AFTER it’s demolded next time Oh! And I filled the back with UV resin also after repainting with colors .. the UV sealed it for me
I am in loveeee with this tree, especially after seeing it with the light... its so magical. Perfect for the fairies. I love it so much. You did amazing. I am wondering if you can use like a black marker for the back? I don't know, I never done it, but I did wonder if a sharpie would work. I truly love this... You do some great resin work. Definitely praying for President Trump. That was too crazy and too real. Praying for our country as a whole.
Is the white star a plug for the lid ? To remove volume and lighten it up or make layers? Great job with the new mold! I agree with your other comments about the fmr president 🙏
Wow oh wow Mary, it looks so 3D. It’s a very cool mold. If you don’t mind, can you tell me where you got your hand held UV flashlight from? I would really appreciate it. I had got one from Amazon recently, but it’s not as strong as the one you have. Sending prayers, god bless & have a great day.
I found that you need to make the tree of life and then after it has cured then color the trunk and leaves on the back side, then I used UV resin on the trunk and leaves to seal it. This was a lot of work but if you use alcohol on the inside of the mold at all it will ruin it. Trust me I bought this mold and it was very expensive and it is ruined now. Also I used deep pour resin it takes a lot of resin. Deep pour doesn’t have the bubbles, like regular resin I never had to spray alcohol on it. I used a light underneath it to light it up and it is beautiful.
Thank you Georgiana🥰 I didn't use Alcohol because they say not to, for clean up I use a qtip dipped and dabbed in a light, light mixture of water and a couple drops of dawn dish soap, works great and its not abrasive so it doesn't ruin the mold. I just used regular casting resin I just ran it through my vacuum chamber first. I don't have much luck with deep pour resin, everytime I have used it, it flash cures on me, no matter the depth. But thank you for all the feed back I appreciate it😊
@@resinmeup I have never had deep pour resin flash cure on me, that is really strange, since it takes 24 hrs and sometimes longer to cure.thank you for the tip regarding water and soap. Also I used alcohol ink pens on the back side then used UV resin individually on the trunk and leaves an it really brought out the colors.
Jody, Thank you for the suggestions, I think doing a clear one with the lights in it would be a challenge because this mold is so 3d I'm afraid by putting lights inside the piece would take away from the tree. Now putting some fantasy film on the back...I think that would spectacular, I will have to try that for sure. Thank you.🥰
@@resinmeup I totally agree. I would put them in right at the end so they look like they’re on the ground. I was also wondering if the leaves could be painted at the end and not paint the mould? I’m awaiting my first intoresin order
@@jodymusic you could do the leaves after, but you would have to use something other than a powder or flake because they wont stick to cured resin. But they have lots of color shift paints now.

Beautiful Mary! Wondering if it would have worked with an acrylic marker vs painting the black?
I honestly thought about that, but I would have had to seal it anyway with UV so it wouldn't come off, so just did the black UV.🥰

Could you do a clear one with lights in it
Maybe holographic paper xxxx

The pointy bit not meant to be at the front? It's gorgeous that way ❤❤
Pointy bit? Do you mean the V angle? Thats the back, but I guess you could have it either way.🥰
@@resinmeup 😅 yes that's what I meant the v shape facing the front
Mary - did anyone win the contest?
The drawing is the 17th.
Could you or someone please do the crystal shoe…. I want one but the toe looks funny, it might be a hook…..
Xx
Jody, are you referring to a mold from Into Resin? Im not familiar with a crystal shoe.
@@resinmeup yes a mold…. And the shoe is tiny it’s on my wish list
Their molds are divine!!!
Ill have to look for it.
@@resinmeup I have one on order…. Couldn’t resist
The flat side is the back Mary
The flat side is actually the front, I did get that confirmed with Into Resin, but I guess if you wanted the tree side to be the front you could. 🥰
Beautiful Tree! These are great molds! The light behind is incredible!!
Thank you Sparkle🥰
