Just watched 'Bullitt' for the first time a few days ago. Very cool movie. Couldn't stop staring at his watch. Thought it was a Hamilton, but turns out it was a Benrus Ref. 3061.
i also desired the classical 417 ES version until Hanhart released new 417 models with flyback - just better than the basic version (reverse panda), additionally it is a column wheel chrono, and price difference is just 300 EUR (is doesn't hurt your wallet at all).
Aren't you missing the major feature of this watch? It is a Flyback chronograph! You can press the pusher and the chronograph hand will fly back to home and continue to run without stopping and restarting. It's an amazing value at this price! I was wondering how good the lume is on these so thanks for pointing that out!
@@TalkingTimepieces True. And as far as chronos are concerned, big wristed people are spoiled for choice- 41mm + is the norm. I'm 7 1/4' but still prefer the smaller 'more vintage' sized cases.
These have been on my radar for a while. Hoping to visit the factory in Schwarzwald soon and buy one directly from them there. Don't they use some kind of hardened steel on these?
@@TalkingTimepieces ah it's the Hanhart Racemaster series that use a hardened steel. Something they call HDSpro. Hanhart are one of the best kept secrets in watchmaking in my humble opinion.
Very nice video with excellent scenes!!!! But I don't follow what other people like, I wear and use what I like, and I get what attracts my eye, is good and different inside. This watch is for me IMHHO, very legible but UGLY, and will never get to my collection, and that test is showing that is 0.2 sec off beat/poise. And it uses a derivative of the 7750 but with no auto mechanism. Nah, I pass up this one.
Legitimate points, but some people like a clean basic watch. It looks different of different straps, I'm posting a "fun with straps" episode on this watch this week!

Worth it
I think the reverse Panda and panda looks cheaper however than the original
Interesting as everyone ties McQueen to Rolex. This is a nice piece for sure and with lots of history.
Hey Alix. That timepiece is DA BOMB !!! Thanks for another awesome video presentation!!

They do do a flyback version as well.
This one isn't the flyback version, unfortunately
Love it. The Hanhart 417es is one of my goal pieces 👨🏻🦲👌🏻
Great looking piece for sure!
I think so too!
It is popular, but in the smaller 39mm size - until recently those were sold out on the website.
Some people have big wrists

You're thinking of Sinn and their tegemented steel, I believe
