Don't you remember in Drivers Ed., the instructor saying it was perfectly OK to drive 90 to 100mph if a passenger is afraid of highway driving! And the passengers were in their seats, if they were sitting on the hood I could understand the officers concern! All joking aside, both drivers should have been arrested, and their behavior in court really showed how horrible they are. Claiming the police were rude, yet telling the judge he was "insulting my intelligence," which is probably easy to do since her intelligence is low. DCFS (or equivalent agency) should assess the place their children stay - got a feeling it's probably unsafe for those kids
Well, they were taught not to FEAR the police but to FIGHT the police. And, apparently have no respect for the JUDGE. Typical for their intelligence level!
They both think they're soooo entitled. Breaking the law is breaking the law. Especially when your endangering children. Both women discussing behavior.
Parents and our educational system have failed people like this. Society can't survive unless we pick up the slack. Schools should be teaching practical skills from day one. It's really scary that she thinks that there are reasonable circumstances to be on a highway with children not in proper seats. She made it sound like if they were going 70 mph (rather than 90) that was somehow safe for the kids.
The older I get the less patience I have for stupidity and for those who live in perpetual victimhood. Stupidity should not only be costly, it should physically hurt. Personal responsibility is something that these women will never have, it's always excuses and someone else's fault.

How can someone think that 'the baby is teething' is a good reason to not have the baby in its proper seat? Then she said her daughter was going to change the baby's diaper! Unbelieveable
Point well stated. Another thing is four people in back seat? That’s why baby was not in car seat! Fools. When I was working as a nurse in ER a paramedic brought a baby who had been ejected from car in very serious accident. The baby was unharmed he was in his car seat and they brought him in still in it. Other than needing his face washed he was fine. If he had not been in the seat when ejected he most likely would have died on scene.
So once a child is old enough to unbuckle, they are already taught to stay buckled. If I heard the sound of the restraint system being unbuckled, I pulled over, or off the freeway, & let the child know that we ALL are buckled up in the car. & I never had music blasting or loud adult conversation with little ones in the car.
