Fantastic new master. Blows the ancient DVD master used for the previous blu-ray out of the water. Very noticeable upgrade in details, overall clarity, color saturation and stability. Now if Universal just would have put the effort into including the 'alternate ending' (which is actually the original U.S. theatrical ending) back into the main feature via seamless branching (instead a separate bonus feature) we would have had a real winner.
Nice improvement over the Blu Ray. Its not a standout difference like Jaws 1 and 2, but its solid nonetheless. Way better than the atrocious Jaws 3 4K thats for sure
Beautiful new master! Jaws 3 was an anomaly where I think Universal tried to bring the bad lensing up to the quality and the other films and ended up with scary AI demon faces. I don't see it being something they'd do for an ordinary 4K restoration.
Can you maybe do a video about the differences between the North American (Warner Bros) and International (Sony) 4K Blu-ray transfers of Blade Runner 2049? Word is the Sony is superior but I have never seen it and am very curious what the differences are.
der weiße Hai 4 sieht auf UHD richtig gut aus. Dort hat man eine wesentlich bessere Arbeit geleistet. Bei Teil 3 ist wahrscheinlich nicht viel mehr rauszuholen. Das Ursprüngliche Material ist zu schlecht.
Thanks to the ass James Cameron and his "team." Great director, but he doesn't understand how a proper restoration should look like. Removing film grain is a big no no.

We would need to get the USA Lionsgate edition, as the 4K disc in France is SDR only.
