- In todays video Lisa Kubo stopped by our HQ. Lisa, the first sport compact FWD driver to break into the seven second 1/4 mile mark, has been competing since the early stages of what’s known today as Sport FWD.
She is making her way back into the scene with her new build. Her previous builds was a Civic that went 8.86 @ 169mph and a Saturn that ran 7.70’s @ 198mph!! We are talking about the early 2004 era. Technology was very different back then compared to todays modern day technology. We are excited to see her back on the track. Lisa is also known as the Director of Sport Compact Sales at @McLeodRacingClutches

It's amazing to watch you express the passion and enthusiasm you have for cars and racing. That feeling you can't describe, but know so well. Only true car enthusiasts can relate to that feeling. It's awesome to see you coming back into the industry. You made a name for yourself, your team, and imports WAY before the world took notice. I can only imagine where you will be in 5 years. Behind the wheel of an AWD turbo K series EG if I had to guess. What I would give to be able to sit down with you and just talk cars for hours...best of luck Lisa. Myself and many others will be watching for your return!

I can not wait to see lisa back out there in the civic before i could drive u would walk or ride my bike up to the store nd get the magazines amd read about her and the sport compact it was so awesome to see it back then there was no "vloggers" you would see a video recorded in 360p if ur lucky lmao but i loved to watch and read about it i was hooked my first car was a 93 DA9 integra ls

i met her in the late 90's in OSW back when it was Bithlo Speedworld, she had a high 10 sec Civic and my 240sx was in the low 11's ... WOW she has aged.

Hey.. I’ve learned being around all the old school guys again we still see eachother and act like the young kids we were when we started. Just think how rowdy the nursing homes are gonna be😂
@@Lisakubo of all the guys i raced with back in the late 90s and early 2000's, only 3 are still in the game, the rest have moved on and sold their cars and have not heard from them.
1 of the 3 is Mark the owner of MazworX ... we street raced a LOT back in the day with his rhd S13 Silvia.
The other i still talk with on a weekly basis and still go to car meets with him.
The other keeps to himself for the most part and sometimes will meet with us at a car show. He also still has a collection of jdm cars...
But yea ... good ole times
Yea, a lot of the guys moved into supercars, or family luxury. Lol adulting needs a book😂 but it’s cool because everyone keeps intouch.. like childhood friends no matter what coast were on.
