Scorpio sun, moon, and mercury here. (In western) Always was weary of coyotes. Recently been dreaming of them then seeing them in the day time. One came out of the forest a few yards away from me, stared then turned to walk off. A day later had a nightmare then woke to a pack howling and yipping outside my window. Now I'm here and this resonates a lot.

I started following the coyote totem, when i used to hike in the hills, and park, i saw them all the time, i even had a dream seeing a coyote standing far away facing me. I pray a coyote prayer in Spanish every tuesday and friday at 12 pm, and i wear a coyote fang .
I just lost the love of my life this past week, and have been asking for signs in this season of brokenness 💔 I left the house for the first time today to go for a walk with my dad and as we were walking I was asking him if he’s been given any signs from his lost loved ones. As we spoke about this, about 60 seconds later, a coyote about 50yds ahead crosses the street. I froze in my tracks😳 We’ve walked this neighborhood hundreds of times and have never seen a coyote. I started looking up the meanings and the signs of what it meant, and ended up here. This explained him to a T🥺 WOW, and I am a badger. We were apart for the last year and a half of his life, but I always thought we’d end back up together. Unfortunately that will never happen💔 But I know that was him sending me a sign, and I’m so grateful to know that he’s in heaven sending of comfort! I almost didn’t leave the house this morning, but so glad that I did🙏🏽❤️🐺🕊 This was such a blessing and I would just like to say thank you🙏🏽✨

I was declared the coyote totem when I was meditating. I saw what I thought was a wolf. Just as soon as I asked, "is that a wolf?" a voice rose and muffled my thought and said, "Coyote!" I am a Taurus, May 15. Many Coyote traits resonate in the video. Others do not for me. I really crave harmony. I don't joyfully try to manipulate people to cause chaos. The confusion I try to create has to do with getting people to see a different viewpoint to expand their consciousness. But really I am thrilled to know I am Coyote. In searching for identity so I can be my true self. Coyote fit right in, the identity that is not easy to define.
You need to get out of my head. It's scary how much I related to this.

Lol Coyote is def a totem for me. I have strong Scorpio ♏️ energy (My Moon sign) and Gemini ♊️ placements as well. I feel I am a natural cactus Mescalera, it’s interwoven with the Coyote. A coyote crossed my path at Sunrise and Sunset during a mescaline ceremony…I was literally wandering the streets at night, just as the coyote was. I love your insights…I am really understanding Coyote medicine as a Totem right now. I do not fit the stereotypical norm, I’ve been told I am a Heyoka. I do get confused easily, I let self doubt creep in and it causes me to need to re evaluate. You’re just spot in on so many levels. I have known for a while now this Animal is my totem, I resonate with the positive and negative qualities so much that I am laughing hysterically and getting teary eyes listening to you. Coyote has to be one of my favorite totem animals, though it isn't a totem for me personally; I love when a creature can be so at home in its complications, and when we can accept something that refuses to be one thing or another. I think we place too much emphasis on labels in our modern culture -- We need to make things one thing or the other so that we know what to expect from them, and can be comfortable with them -- but so much of our lives defy predictability, and it is only when we accept that that we can live without fear. Coyote helps us accept the contradictions within and without. It's a big job, and they are not always loved for doing it, but it's vital nonetheless. One thing that may help with your confusion is to recognize that unless it's an emergency, it's not a problem that needs to be solved *rightnow*. Just let yourself sit with being confused, and don't try to "fix" it. When it doesn't feel like an emergency, you can start journaling about it or talking it out, and you'll be more likely to come to understandings that will help you (Totally speaking from experience here! I just seen a coyote today for the first time in the wild..I really felt it was connection of what I'm going through menatily so I 💯 took it as a sign . Thats why I'm here on your video. I'm a rap artist an been working on multiple songs an confused if I should release them except one cause I wrote a song towards God an now I don't want to use the other songs cause there more a bit negative.I got a great video of the coyote. I was trapped running back an forth across the street in my neighbors fenced in yard. Great video thank you!!

Coyote (and Jackal) aren't "totems" of mine ... however ... the most important animal entity of mine is a related shapeshifter and trickster ... and has appeared as both ... so there are quite a few things to learn here. 💫

Having a Trickster totem myself, I also found Coyote to be . . . educational (and occasionally obnoxious, but he was just doing his job! Lol!). While I was researching this video, I did quite a bit of study about Loki - the classic Trickster - and Odin, who was also a Trickster, though we don't often think of him this way. If the subject matter interests you, and you've not already read it, I highly recommend Neil Gaiman's book, American Gods. It is among my favorites and depicts the Norse Tricksters quite vibrantly. I also did dabble a bit in trickster myth and the like.
What's interesting is that quite a few seem to be triple god.esse.s (Morrigan, Odin).
That's also true for maybe a favourite of mine: Yeshua (unfortunatelly mainstay and especially traditionalist followers usually ignore that. But there are also some wonderful resources online for those who care to dare exploring it. If people would care more, they would realise how they turned [religious/Western] history into kind of a cruel joke.)
Toooootally hear you on the (way too long) reading list! Lol! There's a stack of books two feet high next to my bed to which I ceaselessly add. It's a bit like a cat panicking the second it sees the bottom of its food dish, even if there is still plenty of food left.
Presuming "Yeshua" refers to Christ, I, too, have always considered him as part of a triple-deity (even during my long ago church days, in which this was certainly not how he was portrayed). My grandmother was a religious scholar, and the story of Christ and how it has evolved (and indeed, been warped to varying degrees), as well as its parallels to the myths and mysticism of other faiths, was a favorite topic of discussion when I visited.

I have never resonated with a video so much, I have been keeping Coyote close recently. But sometimes it feels more like a spiral of friend/foe and help/hurt. I am Scorpio sun sign/Libra moon..if anyone can help me to navigate Coyote's energy more efficiently, I would deeply appreciated it!
I'm so glad you found the video so validating, Cody. Having worked with a lot of Coyote folks, I can tell you that one of the best things here is to find a professional therapist that you vibe with. When Coyote is around, we need people who can 1) See us clearly, 2) Who aren't personally offended if we aren't telling them the truth (it's a therapist's job to SEE the truth and help us accept and speak it, too), 3) Who are not affected by our attempts to manipulate them, and 3) Can help us see the benefit to many of Coyote's tendencies. These just aren't things that you can ask a friend to do without risking feeling betrayed (which Scorpio is always sure is eventually going to happen). Many qualified therapists also have a spiritual side to their practice; a good friend of mine is a certified psychologist, but also uses animal totems and spirit guides in his work with clients to help them understand themselves and their needs better. The key is to go in with your eyes open here - You may have to go through a few therapists before you find the right person for you. Not every therapist is a good fit for every person. Also, it can be frustrating to work with someone who is there to help keep us accountable; therapy that works usually *feels* like work. If we're not being challenged, we're probably not facing what we need to face. Wishing you all the best! -Jordana

11:10 ... so finally started to rewatch the video. Besides other things I now do understand my interest in Jordan Peterson (who complains about being seen either as a hero or a villain). To me he seems to have a lot of coyote qualities. (His birth chart provides some validation to that feeling.) To me - as an admirer of his wit and as a target of his culture warring ... that's a useful concept. It provides tools to discern his grasp on reality, the defensive vulnerability, the valuable lessons, the harmful delusions and the uncomfortable truths he speaks. (Unfortunately folks either just champion or despise him. Neither is useful.)

Not really...Some of the same energies, but I definitely wouldn't call them the same overall. Coyote is definitely more of a trickster than Fox!
