IC-775DSP, IC-781 and IC-751A were my favourite iCOM Base Transceivers. Now that they are ageing some issues pop up. But once you have taken care of them you should be fine again using these excellent Transceivers for another 25+++ Years. Excellent Job...💯👍! 73 de Your Friend Uncle Guenter 🙋♂
Interesting, the pre-amps in the 775 you have may just be raising the noise floor to the point where you get S-meter movement. The 775 that I serviced in this video will show about S-3 with the second pre-amp on 10 meters just from local noise. Hope this helps, thanks for watching :)
