A Gotenks from not only a Goten/ Trunks who has actually tried, but also actually tries themselves seems pretty scary, even with the limited time they can remain fused.
And the tournament was like less than an Hour if I remember correctly so for the majority of the Tournament they’re going to be in Gotenks which is very dangerous for the other fighters, and for the time where they’re not a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan 2 Goten & Trunks is just as scary
It would be absolutely broken, however there is still the risk of the fusion failing. If it does happen we don't have Goten and Trunks in ToP for the rest of the remainder.
Best part is, the time limit thing may not be as much of an issue if there's still a time limit in the ToP and they are able to successfully pull this trump card out towards the end of said time limit.

Their fathers just don’t care to train them. Frieza attacks= Don’t tell the kids in the movie and make the kids go home in the anime. U6 Tournament= Not allowed to fight by their own fathers Zamasu= Same thing Tournament of Power= Also denied Moro= Tricked into defending the island

I like it. Two small changes- when they get to the kaioken, Trunk's more physical training puts him ahead of Goten at mastering Goku's technique. Then, save SSB2 until later. At the ToP against Jiren, have Trunks take kaioken to a whole new level, and Goten, who is more adept at learning newfe techniques, copy Vegeta's SSB Evolved. This would create some nice room for amazing fun moments and differentiate the two.
Yeah I’m still looking for a good way to differentiate the two in their own ways like what ultra form would they choose or would they go after the beast transformation. The thing is there’s so much options for them that it’s kind of hard to see what they would choose. I don’t want them to keep on following their fathers path to power, but for this part it was the safest option. Might branch out a bit more on the 2nd part of this
I was thinking about that one headcanon where Gravity Training is the path to taking the Kaioken to further heights which is why King Kai’s planet has higher gravity and why Goku could all of a sudden take it to x20 after training in a hundred times gravity. So imagine a Trunks who regularly trains with his dad in 400 or so times gravity and how high he’d be able to take it with blue?
I think a really cool thing that possibly could happen is in the ToP Goku and Vegeta never fused, they are strong together when they fuse but Vegeta has always had that chip in his shoulder for Goku. I think if Goten and Trunks fused in ToP (though they do goof around a lot as Gotenks). They know each other so well and fight so harmoniously together that they could possibly unlock cool perfected blue fusion kinds like Evo
Technically Goten and Trunks should have the same potential as Gohan but due to 2 big reason they never live up to their full potential 1. Half Breeds lack the drive to train and test themshelves like Pure Saiyans. Goten and Trunks really only trainned as kids due to having a childs mindset and finding things like flying and shooting lasers cool. 2. Fans weren't really thrilled with Goten so they pushed him more to the side character roll and since he was so integrated with Trunks he got the same treatment

I wouldn’t necessarily say that they don’t try. Goten and trunks love training. It’s just that their families don’t allow them to train as often as they’d like. Goten especially. Tbh tho idk why they don’t ask their elders to train as they often only train with each other
goten and trunks are also the best fighting pair in the group. they know how to work together in a fight far better than any of the others. between their use of fusion, trianing together and even acting as one person during the wmat, plus all their training together in this new series of events, they would likely be strongest when working together.
Yeah they are just good buddies lol. That's where the lost it.. they dont have the saien rage. But a loving energy could easily be just as strong and probably stronger

I don't think there is an issue with them being serious. They are regularly training together and growing stronger. They are both way more invested in martial arts than Gohan ever was. It actually makes a lot of sense that they'd be held back from getting involved in the conflicts that are what push the others to becoming as strong as they are as, they are very young as there is no way to catch up to the level of threats that are being put out. What could happen instead is to introduce new mid level threats for the younger warriors to face so that they can continue to grow in their own way while the god-tiers are dealing with bigger threats or training. Another problem they have is they know they are strong and very talented. In other words they are arrogant, this was one of their big flaws against boo.
One thing that bothered me its that Raditz was never resurrected. He would love that he became an uncle of strong saiyan kids, and train together with them as family bonding, (yes he kidnap gohan once but in retrospective he only wanted his family back) Plus I believe that Bulla would love Uncle Raditz hair to braid it
I think with Trunks and Goten was to make them like small Goku and gain that audience with them but they lacked what small Goku had. While all 3 had the goofiness part , Goku knew when to get serious and would kill you then take a break plus his moves arent as stupid except for Janken (rock paper scisors) and monkey style but those were tournament goofiness while fighting for your life wasnt.
Janken was still an effective physical attack at the time. Goku caught Ros-I mean Jackie Chun off guard when he mixed up the order of his strikes when Jackie was used to seeing a particular pattern.
Goten and Trunks never trained because they were forbidden to. They were also forbidden to train with any professional fighters stronger than them. One time, Goten wanted to go with Goku and Whis to Berrus' planet to get stronger, but Chi Chi didn't allow it. I'm not sure about Trunks' end, but it's a guarantee it's the same answer.
Part of the cannon is that Beerus can't Hakai someone who is immortal. He outright says it in the manga, and Goku in the anime says he doesn't think it would work, and Whis indirectly confirms it by suggesting a sealing technique instead.
It's actually been stated that the spirit of the first Legendary Super Saiyan allowed that god ritual to be successful, as he was apparently summoned and absorbed into goku through it. So it can be assumed that this ritual cannot be done ever again.

This is honestly a great video. I think personally goten and trunks should get get there own forms post super Saiyan blue so they could be unique from their dads. I would love to see a part 2 to see how much the Moro arc and superhero would be affected.
This is why we need a movie like Super Hero for Trunks and Goten, kinda like a combination of three DBZ movies like Broly did (Broly, Fusion Reborn, and Bardock): Cooler's Revenge, Wrath of the Dragon, and Tree of Might. Cooler is chasing Tapion across the universe, who has the other half of the Tree of Might sealed within him; a tree that is said to bear fruit that can turn it's consumer into a God of Destruction. Events play out where Cooler Becomes a God of Destruction, it has an effect on his "Final Form" that makes him appear like a redesign of Cooler's Fifth Form. He faces Gotenks, who actually is able to match up to God of Destruction Cooler as a Super Saiyan 3, Cooler gets desperate, consuming more and more fruit and even going INSIDE the tree to consume its' seeds. This causes Cooler to merge with the Tree itself and becomes a giant Cooler/Tree hybrid, who is also able to manifest bark-like Cooler copies (akin to Cooler in the Big Gete Star) Gotenks then realizes he has no other choice. Gotenks consumes the last Fruit of the Tree of Might... This gives us the first look at what happens when a Saiyan gains the God of Destruction form, with Gotenks gaining an appearance that looks VERY similar to a younger SS4 Gogeta. Idk if its a hot take but i think yamcha is the single most wasted character in the entire series. Yamcha actually has a ton of potential. By the time the cell saga comes around yamcha was strong enough to have been able to completely body the likes of raditz and the saibamen with ease and i think he would have even been able to take nappa down at least. Maybe even have gone toe to toe with saiyan saga vegeta.
They should have em grow a tail and get SSJ4. Goku and Vegeta went the way of the Gods, Gohan has his own thing going on and they could get SSJ4. Or at least let Gotenks have access to it and it can be their trump card.

Goten and trunks could for sure get the power of Blue with training. However, for sure they would not be mature and disciplined enough to master kaioken. So I doubt they would even want to get it. Knowing them, they would follow a different path, and most likely use the Ascended style form (at least for trunks) or mix Super saiyan 2/3 ki with Blue.
n1 wasted character - Android 18 (After 17 did so much she felt like a hold back but I wish we could see more) n2 - The humans (Tien - Krillin) (Roshi isnt here cus he has done his role. Tho I love seeing roshi being badass) n3 - Hit (He had the potential to grow immensely but the show decided to forget about it) I didnt mention goten and trunks because ofc they are the obvious top pick. And lowkey, I would LOVE to see videl fight more. This is just my personal view on it, but seeing the female cast grow would make the show so much nicer (If well done of course)

I think it would've been cool to see the Saiyan-Hybrids go down the primal path, but obviously you wanted to follow the normal path of DBS which is fine, but what I don’t understand is why they didn’t tap into SSGSS:E as SSGSS2 doesn't really make much sense but even then whenever they fused they should've gotten SSGSS3 or SSGSS2:E or even SSGSS3:E.

I think Gotenks SSB2x40 would clap Jiren, even x20 would clap him imo. UI doesn't appear to be like a ridiculous 1000x multiplier or anything silly that isn't unnatainable.
Goten and Trunks wanted to train with Vegeta, but that wasn't allowed. Goten wanted to train with Whis and Goku, but that wasn't allowed. They were not told about Freeza invasion, not allowed to join U6 vs U7, ToP and Moro invasion. So no they are not lazy. Everyone just stops them.
Goten and Trunks clearly work harder than any other character, seeing as they passed nearly the entire cast of Dragonball. Hard work deserves a good rest. Your ssgss(blue) theory is the same as mine. But imagine if their final potential was ssgss3 which means blue with long hair (ssj3) , that would be nuts ! And along with Kaioken maybe they would even get True Blue on top of Blue ssj3. Absolutely Nutty , but I would like to think this would be their final imit as making them too powerful doesn't suit the story.
Their biggest (potential) strength seemed to be their biggest weakness and that was that that they weren't full blooded saiyans. Seemingly the half blooded saiyans have more potential for power than full blooded saiyans but honestly I think it ened up being that way because of how powerful Goku & Vegeta had become by the time they impregnated their wives. If Goku had a 3rd son in super for example he'd probably Go SS3 whilst taking his first dump in his nappy. Future trunks was only such an awesome character who made sure to finish his opps because of the trauma he lived through in his time line. Normal trunks didn't go through that so he became a bit of a lame character. Gohan became a cool and very powerful character as a result of the abuse and punishment he was subjected to growing up. That harsh environment molded him. But again the peace times made him a cuckhold because he wasn't a full blooded Saiyan who lived to fight and train, Trunks and Gohan's issue was the same. But indeed if they really gave it their all, their potential is damn near boundless.
Uhhh theres no reaon for them to even bother with kaioken. If the combo of blue and kaioken threatened to kill goku instantly, i dont think the CHILDREN would be able to handle it at all, and its not even worth it since they could get stronger by just getting blue evolution. And forms are easier for them, so it really would come faster to them

I honestly think that SSB2KKX40 Gotenks would clap Jiren in seconds, thats INSANE power, SSG is (lowballed) 20,000x, Times 100 because of the ssJ2 is 2,000,000, Times 40 because of the kaioken is 80,000,000, times 2 (again lowball) because of the fusion, is 160,000,000 or in short terms, 160million times multiplier to gotenks base power, THATS HUGE, and again i lowballed ssg so its probably even higher, and if this goten and trunks are even stronger than goku and vegeta, thats even bigger, also they might have gotten a small zenkai from their fight with jiren (again, i dont know if hybrid saiyans get zenkai boosts, but o well), Then after the ToP, i think they would go for blue evolution (blue evolution was stated to be as strong as an SSBKKX20, so that would be even bigger), then if they went for blue evolution 2, or even 3 thats huge, again i will do the math, Supersaiyan blue is about a 100,000x multiplier with my lowball for SSG, with the Kaioken its a 2,000,000 multiplier so Blue evo is 2,000,000, then if they get blue evo 2, it is 40,000,000, but blue evo 3 would be 120,000,000, and with the kaioken x40 (lets be real, the kaioken is probably getting higher) is 480,000,000 then we give it the (again again, lowballed fusion multiplier) x2 of the fusion, its 960,000,000. But we dont stop there, Then gotenks incorporates UI into his (ahem) SSBE3KKX40 (just like goku did in the granola saga), Black frieza is wetting his non existant pants, however i will touch up on black freeza here, I can go 2 ways with this, One: He gets clapped by Gas, or 2: He stays in the time chamber longer because his new goal is Gotenks, and not MUI goku. Man, if goten and trunks were realy that close to gokus and vegetas power levels, I think its safe to assume that the "SSB2 40x kaioken gotenks" would most likely wipe the flor with jirens face easily. Just imagine an hypotetical ssb2 vegeto, Jiren wouldnt stand a chance against that much power, not even close, vegeta himself stated that jiren wasnt that much stronger than him and goku, this fusion would absolutely crush him without any doubt.

We in the West really misunderstand Chichi. She isn't against fighting, she WAS a fighter herself, and in the real world everyone would look at her as one of the few people from the Dragonball world with any real sense. If your son was kidnapped for over a year by someone who once tried to kill your husband and then the first thing your kid wants to do after you get him back is run off to freaking space to help his kidnapper, you would absolutely blow your lid too. But when he made it clear it was his intention, his decision, and not the others roping him into it, she lets him. All the studying the Gohan does is because he wants to grow up to be a scholar. Does she push him? Yes, but she pushes him to achieve *his* dream. When she learned Goten was more like his father she didn't suddenly relax or change her stance on fighting. She encouraged both of her sons to become the men they wish to be. She has no problem with Goten wanting to fight, and how could she when both she and Goku were fighters. What she has a problem with is all of these other people derailing Gohan's efforts to achieve his dreams. Chichi is a good mother, and she is not going to let other people mess with her children.

I don’t want them both to be exactly like their dads, they could have kaioken and ssj and ssg and ssb but I want them have different ultra forms, they should also have different main attacks, like they can have their fathers attacks but they should have their own like goten using a different main attack then kamehameha, and trunks, Galicia gun, the moves could be in there arsenal, and I don’t want them to be super strong separated, and should not only depend on gotenks

I don't think there is an issue with them being serious. They are regularly training together and growing stronger. They are both way more invested in martial arts than Gohan ever was. It actually makes a lot of sense that they'd be held back from getting involved in the conflicts that are what push the others to becoming as strong as they are as, they are very young as there is no way to catch up to the level of threats that are being put out. What could happen instead is to introduce new mid level threats for the younger warriors to face so that they can continue to grow in their own way while the god-tiers are dealing with bigger threats or training. Another problem they have is they know they are strong and very talented. In other words they are arrogant, this was one of their big flaws against boo.
One thing that bothered me its that Raditz was never resurrected.
He would love that he became an uncle of strong saiyan kids, and train together with them as family bonding, (yes he kidnap gohan once but in retrospective he only wanted his family back)

I think with Trunks and Goten was to make them like small Goku and gain that audience with them but they lacked what small Goku had.
While all 3 had the goofiness part , Goku knew when to get serious and would kill you then take a break plus his moves arent as stupid except for Janken (rock paper scisors) and monkey style but those were tournament goofiness while fighting for your life wasnt.
They were trying to make a different Protagonist like how Gohan was Goku but vastly different, I think your criticism is missing that point
Janken was still an effective physical attack at the time. Goku caught Ros-I mean Jackie Chun off guard when he mixed up the order of his strikes when Jackie was used to seeing a particular pattern.

Part of the cannon is that Beerus can't Hakai someone who is immortal. He outright says it in the manga, and Goku in the anime says he doesn't think it would work, and Whis indirectly confirms it by suggesting a sealing technique instead.

Cooler's Revenge, Wrath of the Dragon, and Tree of Might. Cooler is chasing Tapion across the universe, who has the other half of the Tree of Might sealed within him; a tree that is said to bear fruit that can turn it's consumer into a God of Destruction. Events play out where Cooler Becomes a God of Destruction, it has an effect on his "Final Form" that makes him appear like a redesign of Cooler's Fifth Form.
He faces Gotenks, who actually is able to match up to God of Destruction Cooler as a Super Saiyan 3, Cooler gets desperate, consuming more and more fruit and even going INSIDE the tree to consume its' seeds. This causes Cooler to merge with the Tree itself and becomes a giant Cooler/Tree hybrid, who is also able to manifest bark-like Cooler copies (akin to Cooler in the Big Gete Star) Gotenks then realizes he has no other choice. Gotenks consumes the last Fruit of the Tree of Might...
This gives us the first look at what happens when a Saiyan gains the God of Destruction form, with Gotenks gaining an appearance that looks VERY similar to a younger SS4 Gogeta. Gotenks retains his corny personality, cringingly dubbing this form "The Hero of Destruction, Gotenks!"
Gotenks creates a new technique that acts as a Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack/Soul Punisher hybrid technique where the Ghosts Possess the Cooler copies, and each Cooler copy and Gotenks attack the Tree of Might Cooler all at once to no avail, with Gotenks then using the Possessed Cooler copies to embrace the Tree Cooler, all detonating at once as Gotenks holds him in place with Godly Halo (Higher level Galactic Donut)

Beerus then says "So this means I can go back to sleep!?" to which Whis confirms, and then Beerus and Gotenks are both celebrating... Then the fusion splits. Idk if its a hot take but i think yamcha is the single most wasted character in the entire series. Yamcha actually has a ton of potential. By the time the cell saga comes around yamcha was strong enough to have been able to completely body the likes of raditz and the saibamen with ease and i think he would have even been able to take nappa down at least. Maybe even have gone toe to toe with saiyan saga vegeta.
He should be much stronger by then actually, somewhere between Captain Ginyu and 2nd form Frieza seems about fair.
They should have em grow a tail and get SSJ4. Goku and Vegeta went the way of the Gods, Gohan has his own thing going on and they could get SSJ4. Or at least let Gotenks have access to it and it can be their trump card.

Goten and trunks could for sure get the power of Blue with training. However, for sure they would not be mature and disciplined enough to master kaioken. So I doubt they would even want to get it. Knowing them, they would follow a different path, and most likely use the Ascended style form (at least for trunks) or mix Super saiyan 2/3 ki with Blue.

Their biggest (potential) strength seemed to be their biggest weakness and that was that that they weren't full blooded saiyans. Seemingly the half blooded saiyans have more potential for power than full blooded saiyans but honestly I think it ened up being that way because of how powerful Goku & Vegeta had become by the time they impregnated their wives. If Goku had a 3rd son in super for example he'd probably Go SS3 whilst taking his first dump in his nappy.
Future trunks was only such an awesome character who made sure to finish his opps because of the trauma he lived through in his time line. Normal trunks didn't go through that so he became a bit of a lame character. Gohan became a cool and very powerful character as a result of the abuse and punishment he was subjected to growing up. That harsh environment molded him. But again the peace times made him a cuckhold because he wasn't a full blooded Saiyan who lived to fight and train, Trunks and Gohan's issue was the same.
But indeed if they really gave it their all, their potential is damn near boundless.

If the combo of blue and kaioken threatened to kill goku instantly, i dont think the CHILDREN would be able to handle it at all, and its not even worth it since they could get stronger by just getting blue evolution. And forms are easier for them, so it really would come faster to them

I honestly think that SSB2KKX40 Gotenks would clap Jiren in seconds, thats INSANE power, SSG is (lowballed) 20,000x, Times 100 because of the ssJ2 is 2,000,000, Times 40 because of the kaioken is 80,000,000, times 2 (again lowball) because of the fusion, is 160,000,000 or in short terms, 160million times multiplier to gotenks base power, THATS HUGE, and again i lowballed ssg so its probably even higher, and if this goten and trunks are even stronger than goku and vegeta, thats even bigger, also they might have gotten a small zenkai from their fight with jiren (again, i dont know if hybrid saiyans get zenkai boosts, but o well), Then after the ToP, i think they would go for blue evolution (blue evolution was stated to be as strong as an SSBKKX20, so that would be even bigger), then if they went for blue evolution 2, or even 3 thats huge, again i will do the math, Supersaiyan blue is about a 100,000x multiplier with my lowball for SSG, with the Kaioken its a 2,000,000 multiplier so Blue evo is 2,000,000, then if they get blue evo 2, it is 40,000,000, but blue evo 3 would be 120,000,000, and with the kaioken x40 (lets be real, the kaioken is probably getting higher) is 480,000,000 then we give it the (again again, lowballed fusion multiplier) x2 of the fusion, its 960,000,000. But we dont stop there, Then gotenks incorporates UI into his (ahem) SSBE3KKX40 (just like goku did in the granola saga), Black frieza is wetting his non existant pants, however i will touch up on black freeza here, I can go 2 ways with this, One: He gets clapped by Gas, or 2: He stays in the time chamber longer because his new goal is Gotenks, and not MUI goku. So goku, vegeta, SSBE3KKX40 Gotenks, and Granlola, Get clapped by gas, or even win, it sets up for the next arc.

Man, if goten and trunks were realy that close to gokus and vegetas power levels, I think its safe to assume that the "SSB2 40x kaioken gotenks" would most likely wipe the flor with jirens face easily.
Just imagine an hypotetical ssb2 vegeto, Jiren wouldnt stand a chance against that much power, not even close, vegeta himself stated that jiren wasnt that much stronger than him and goku, this fusion would absolutely crush him without any doubt.
Thr only change id make is taking roshi out of the T.O.P, since Roshi has a key moment in the manga that leads to Goku going to UI Sign against Jiren. Id take 18 out since she would probably stsy behind to take care of her daughter.
We in the West really misunderstand Chichi. She isn't against fighting, she WAS a fighter herself, and in the real world everyone would look at her as one of the few people from the Dragonball world with any real sense. If your son was kidnapped for over a year by someone who once tried to kill your husband and then the first thing your kid wants to do after you get him back is run off to freaking space to help his kidnapper, you would absolutely blow your lid too. But when he made it clear it was his intention, his decision, and not the others roping him into it, she lets him. All the studying the Gohan does is because he wants to grow up to be a scholar. Does she push him? Yes, but she pushes him to achieve *his* dream. When she learned Goten was more like his father she didn't suddenly relax or change her stance on fighting. She encouraged both of her sons to become the men they wish to be. She has no problem with Goten wanting to fight, and how could she when both she and Goku were fighters. What she has a problem with is all of these other people derailing Gohan's efforts to achieve his dreams. Chichi is a good mother, and she is not going to let other people mess with her children.
