    The South African Springboks are not bullies. They back their team mates up, which sometimes ends up in fights. Most fights in rugby stem from aggravation or being under pressure during an important match, like a world cup. Most fights accur when they are provoked by another player. But for the most part, all rugby players have good sportsmanship and are respectful toward the other teams. Even when they get into an altercation on the field, after the game, they could sit and have a drink together and all is well.

      What is happening at 1:50 and the seconds after that? Are you calling this good play? Sportsmanlike? This is full on bullying…no denying that
      All know the springboks bring a full on physical game and that they use their strength to intimidate….be honest ffs

      @@KekeHimonaBullies pick on people who are weaker or smaller than them. The Springboks are playing against big strong men, as strong as they are, so they can't reasonably be classified as bullies. Of course there is a lot of foul play in this video. It's edited that way, for clicks. If the South Africans committed so many more fouls than other countries, they'd have been penalised out of every win they have ever attained. Or are you suggesting they bully referees too?

    • @KekeHimona

      @@jamesrowe3606 Bully is a tag that South Africa wear. There are legitimate big hits and there are gratuitous cheap shots, but no international touring team in modern times have crossed the line as blatantly as the Springboks. Watch England game where England beat South Africa 53 - 3.
      I accept nobody wants their team to be called bullies, and over last year more discipline has occurred in the team. Let’s hope it remains this way…kids watch rugby and nobody wants for their kids to see this disrespectful, anger intimidating stuff on the 80mins of game play

      @@thokozanigubhela2736 bully is just a word..other words could be used to sugarcoat things….thugs, brutes, etc. Honestly I have zero clue what you want to call it…but bad play doesn’t even come remotely close. South Africa was banned fom the first two world cups due to the apartheid along with a variety of international boycotts, including on sporting contracts. In 1995, we were able to play the world cup, and won it. We then went on to win 3 more (2007, 2019 & 2023), making us the only country in the world to win 4 world cups in rugby.
    Basically, we have won 50% of the world cups since starting. We won 4 out of the 8 world cups we have played.

    Super quick and extremely basic rugby union rules-
    Rugby is a continuous contract sport played in two 40 mins half with a full game lasting 80 mins.
    The aim of the game is to score more points that the opposition
    15 players on the pitch (1-8 are called the forwards their strengths are often power and strength and they are usually the biggest players on the field) (9-15 are the backs their strengths are usually speed and agility)
    you can only pass the ball backwards or side was but you can kick it forward to gain metres forward)
    To score points you must touch the ball down behind the oppositions line. A score like this is similar to your ‘touchdown’ but it’s called a ‘try’ players literally have to touch the ball to the ground for it to count.
    After a try the team that scored has a chance to kick the ball over the posts for additional points it’s called a conversion.
    Try=5 points
    Conversion= 2points
    When a player is tackled play does not stop the players have to push each other and fight to win possession of the ball and the play continues this is called a ruck.
    There are other important parts of the rules and law of the game.
    An important rule tackles must be no higher than the shoulders and any man in the air must not be tackled. You can not shoulder charge you must at least attempt to wrap up.
    If a foul such as a high tackle a player might be shown a yellow card(where they have to leave the pitch for a few mins and then return) or a red where they are off the pitch for the game so the team would be one player down.
    There is a million other rules and things that happened in the game namely scrums mauls line outs penalty’s etc etc but these are the basics.
    Respect and sportsmanship is an extremely important and valued part of this amazing sport

    If you are still asking whether they blow the whistle when someone falls you need to look at a video of the laws! They aren’t a club side, The Springbok are the National side of South Africa and were playing Australia. There are 15 players a side and whilst they all have specific roles they are all defenders and attackers; there is no changing for attack to defence, you play all the time. “This” is a scrum and is the means of restarting the game after an infringement and it is from this that American Football gets its line of scrimmage. After a try is scored they have to take a conversion (your point after), but unlike American Football the ball is not placed directly in front of the posts, but in line where the ball was touched down. Therefore they try to place it as near to the posts as possible to make the kick easier.

    Each team has 15 players, so a total of 30 on the field during a game. There are typically 7 or 8 substitutes. The 15 players on each team are divided into 8 forwards and 7 backs.
    The positions are Loose-Head Prop (#1), Hooker (#2), Tight-Head Prop (#3), Second-Row or Lock (#4 & 5), Blindside Flanker (#6), Open Side Flanker (#7), Number 8 or Lock or Eight Man (#8), Scrum-Half or Half Back (#9), Fly-Half (#10), Left Wing (#11), Inside Centre (#12), Outside Centre (#13), Right Wing (#14), and Full-Back (#15)

    New Zealand’s AllBlacks are known as the team to beat …and South Africa have over time risen to that same bar.
    They both play very different styles of game. All Blacks prefer running an open style game whereas South Africa like to keep things tight and use their strength (I will get knocked for saying that…just tried to say it in simple terms)
    Def check out All Blacks. South Africa still have not come close to matching our international win record in test stats. Current Rugby World Cup is 4 to South Africa….3 to New Zealand
    On a side note…the Dallas Cowboys made an offer to a New Zealand rugby player…Jonah Lomu….he was the GOAT and sadly passed away way too early. There is a video called Lord of the Wings that shows what Jonah could do…check it out

    It is not going inside the posts its putting it down in the middle. As it is easier to get a conversion which is basically the kicks that u see unless it is a penalty. Touching the ball down on the ground but in the middle of the two posts u dont have to run through the posts to score a try u just have to put it down between the posts to get and easier spot for the conversion. But since SA have Handre Pollard it really doesn't matter go bokke ( I am South African btw)

    The try is when they touch down behind the goal line. The conversion kick goes in line from where they touch down. So if they get the try right under the goal post....straight line for the kick. If they get the try from further away from the goalposts it's a harder angle to try and convert from.

    The points for a try (similar to a touch down in the NFL) is 5, no matter where you touch the ball down behind the line. However, if you can get the try as close to the posts as possible, it will make the conversion (which is a kick over the poles which you get after scoring a try), a lot easier if it's more in line with the poles. If you score a try on the far left or right of the try line, then the conversion will have to be kicked from the far left or right of the field, making it more difficult to get over the poles. A conversion is worth 2 points, and a penalty and drop goal are worth 3 points each.
