Yeah, in real life, most survivors of abuse or even women coming out of tough break-ups don't have their next prince charming waiting for them...

They will often look over him because he is "too nice" and want the spark from their abuser

I have been in an abusive relationship for sixteen years...I'm so damaged from it...I could only dream of finding another real love....I wouldn't know how to even act

Sadly that’s what happened to me, after 12 years in an abusive marriage, I was the old friend she always had feelings for that she suddenly wanted to be with. Unfortunately for me, I was just a rebound.

My dad was abusive to my mom.100 times worse than this movie. We finally got away when I was 12. I'm 57 now and my mother never remarried. She wouldn't even date anyone.

After my experiences, I realise men think trust is a swear word and loyalty isn't in their dictionary. Enough hurt to last a lifetime.
