@@rupe82 it's possible he'd still be alive if his dad took him home and away from that damaging environment that encouraged and catalysed his issues. Remember he was in a foreign country he didn't know with people that weren't very nice or understanding of him and no family. He didn't have very much social skills and isolated himself from the group. The band weren't doing well and they'd be short of cash on many occasions and he couldn't leave because he had nowhere else to go. He was actively encouraged to be messed up for image. Not to mention Euronymous egging him on to commit suicide. I do believe his death was a result of his environment to a certain extent. It causes his mental state to deteriorate to the point of suicide.

@@bryanescobar4933 its probably because he wanted to sound differently from metal habits of his time, but mayhem in general wanted to get far from usual thrash/death metal sound. i used to consider him like some rare singer cause he doesnt want to sound like a beast, a demon or a diabolic being. He sounded like a dead evil guy. He considered himself as dead man even in life sometimes, so i cant hide the fact i think he did exactly what he wanted to do. His lyrics and presence in mayhem changed everything bringing the band into a total black metal way of life.

It was originally in their first demo when it was just Necrobutcher on bass (And I think vocals because someone said), Manheim on drums, and Euronymous on guitar.

He wrote the lyrics and concept for "The true Mayhem" The song 'Life Eternal' was even passed to Euronymous via included with his suicide note...lyrics and themes on DMDS were by Dead and it wasn't really 'till he joined that things got darker and more serious.
