Thank you so much for this. New to Garmin Coach and am doing the 10K plan. Tomorrow is my 1st stride repeat and now it makes sense. Love that your just like me,still run with minor niggles but am sensible about listening to my body around recovery. Also love the way you go through all the metrics!
That's awesome. I hope you are enjoying the Garmin Coach program. I've used it several times. This past year I switched up and went with the Garmin self guided marathon training program. That has also worked out great for me. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
Hi Tim! Would you mind informing me on the "Other Lap Button Press" on the garmin screen shot at 2:02? Does that mean after the warm up you press the lap button and then start the stride exercise and not hit the lap button for the rest of the workout? the placement of "Other" in between "Warm Up" and "Run" has me a bit confused. Thanks!
Hi Melvin. I understand and you are not alone. This is one feature I wish they'd change because it is confusing. After my warm-up a blue arrow would appear on my screen, I'd push the lap button (lower right side of the watch) to start the interval. From there Garmin seems to take over and I didn't have to press the lap button after that. It's been a little while since I've used the Vivoactive but that's what I rememberer. I switched up to the Garmin Fenix 6. I hope this helps. Good luck with your training! Have a great weekend.
@@RunTall That makes perfect sense thanks for the response and clarification. I currently have the foreruner 45. Thank you i'm looking forward to it! Have a great weekend as well!
Hey Tim, glad you made it for the day and that the ankle held up! Looking forward to my Stride Repeats workout scheduled for tomorrow on the local track!
Have fun with them! I enjoy running all the different workouts that Garmin comes up with. It makes running a little more interesting. Running in the gravel helped and different shoes. I may have to take a day or two off however. They next day is always the toughest. It's hurting today. It happens. I'm not overly concerned at this point. I am in it for the long haul. I'll know more tomorrow. One thing is for certain, I'll be running soft ground for a few weeks and avoiding the concrete and pavement surfaces whenever possible. Let me know how your stride repeats turn out. Have a great workout!
Thanks I'm glad you like it. I'm still healing from an injury bit I plan to make more videos related to training once I get back to 100%. Have a great day and thanks fire watching!
Good work Tim. Glad to see your being sensible about your ankle and knowing what your limit might be. Hope it's not sore at all by the time you see this.. Can't believe how cold it is there!
I am looking out my window at snow flurries right now...lol. I only have to wait a week for warmer weather to get here. The forecast has it in the 70's. It's likely I'll have to take a couple days off from running. My ankle could definitely use a break. No worries. I'm in it for the long haul so in the big picture a couple days is nothing. I'll still workout it will just be ankle friendly. I just ordered the Nike Pegasus 38's and I want to be able to run in them when they arrive next week. Hey thanks for watching and all of your support. I greatly appreciate it! Have a great day!
Really enjoying following your training videos as I work through my own hoping the race season opens up later in the year. Always impressed by your leg cadence.
Thank you I greatly appreciate it. I hope races open up again as well. At the moment the Half Marathon I am registered for is still going to be an in person race but with COVID 19 spiking in Michigan I'm not sure what to expect moving forward. Have a great day and thanks for watching.

I also have Rocket X's and use them only for track running and races
