@@AshwaniKMishra ig i shouldnt have said it like that but like i personally hate her from the bottom of my heart she had a child just to make him carry all her sorrow and pain ,what was the boy's fault? Why did he have to go through that if she had thought of freeing him of his duty of "waiting" for her from way earlier the boy might've lived a happy life, but of course its the author's story and if he didnt do that the story wouldntve gone so long with a shitty ending.
I love her character writing. I would never want a person like her in my life. And the reason why I liked her writing is because it's so tragic. The reason why she had Reiji go through the abyss because she wanted Reiji to not to leave her. Throughout her life, she was left alone in her suffering. From her parents (who prostituted her and abused her) to Akira (the only person she ever innocently loved left her to rot in that town (for all the right reasons though)). I see Yuko's evil doings as her desperate measures to not to be alone. This is why she pushed everyone away from Reiji so Reiji is just alone with her. This is why in the end, she told Reiji that she never wanted to see him again because despite her years of efforts, she felt Reiji never understood her (from Nozoe and Reiji's dialogue we know that he did understand her suffering but just couldn't care) and Reiji would leave her to live with Nagi (which actually did).
@@crixamvs6750 About what was the boy's fault? There's no objective reason why Reiji should have gone through all that. If anything, I had a bad childhood and I simply walked away and never looked back. In retrospect, all I can say is that neither suffering nor happiness in anyone's life has any meaning. That's the curse of being free in this world.
Ughh it hurts to even leave a comment on this manga as its so tragic but Major spoilers Yuko kurose was a product of her environment Mother and grandmother both taught yuko, in order to be close to someone, u gotta give them your pain and suffering...in a literal sense so they "truly share pain with you" amd connect. Both his mother and grandma were abused in all ways. And so , Yukos mother got her own daughter to be prostituted , father abused her and grandmother brainwashed her to not leave town and make family in the town only. Then Yuko did the same thing with her own son , except by isolating him from friends and guilt tripping him, so he only has his mother Yuko to depend upon but ....at the very end when she yells at him getting him to leave this town. You can see her wiping tears away. Its clear she did this on purpose to break that cycle. All of this due to neglect in mental support and communication and a town where dysfunctional adults are common.
Yuko Kurose is probably the best female character ever written in animanga. Thanks for this awesome edit.
You high or something?

Nope! If you can't understand her broken thought process, it's alright! I hated the ending. Boy's abyss ending was let down.
