2024 Kaapse Klopse Karnival annual competition takes over Athlone Stadium

The Athlone Stadium in Cape Town came alive with sound and colour as the 2024 Kaapse Klopse Karnival Association's annual Competition kicked off.
Over the next five weekends, troupes will compete in various categories such as Grand March Pass, Klopse Jol and Best Dressed Troupe, among others.
Besides the annual Tweede Nuwejaar parade through the CBD of Cape Town, the competition section is a major component of the festival season.
