@Goronian Internet User That's just my opinion but video game is the best entertainment the human has created up to this day. This is the only one where both the creator and consumer are active and express themselves. Sculpture, Theater, Movies, Drawings, Radio, etc. are cool, but this is just a passive admiration. The consumer doesn't need to be in deep focus. I never used Netfilx for my entire life, and I hate watching movies, I feel like a lazy person just sitting on a chair and doing nothing productive. I would say that books (which includes comics, manga, etc.) are just below video games. The writer and reader are both active since a book can't be read passively. I like reading books and learning tons of things, but I have a feeling touching the gamepad is even stronger than touching a book. Plus the music, the evolution of the characters in a RPG, the battles, etc. makes the video games even more engaging. I won't go into details, but I also have tons of argument how video games can be your best allies to achieve tons of succesfull projects, be productive and organized, etc. I wouldn't be in space engineering right now without video games. Long live video games :D
My favorite Star Fox, still own the original cartridge since Christmas of 1998 or '99 (don't remember exact year), and beaten it 100%. Such a great masterpiece. It quite interesting how Star Fox 2, the cancelled second game for SNES, influenced so much for this, while retaining the original's on-rails game play. RIP the guy who voiced Peppy/Andross...
This was the most intense N64 game I ever played. So much fun getting a rush from this game. Sigh... I'm gonna have to get out my old N64 and play this again.

I remember my older cousin playing this and Banjo Kazooie around ‘99. I remember, it was back when Fruit by the Foot had the N64 game tips. That might’ve been the first time I played the N64 and then he pulled out a Game Gear. I had no clue what it was back then, but I thought it looked awesome.
I don't know, for me I think it is personally they never really did the characters and the banter/general feel as good as in this one, when I played it again like a year back it all just sort of melded perfectly.
@@CaptmagiKono I know, whenever I go back to this I just adapt to the controls instantly again and kick ass, also, the different paths in the story made it so interesting and replayable, Assault was a huge linear letdown, never played any game after that one tho.

Corneria, fourth planet of the Lylat system. The evil Andross turned this once-thriving system into a wasteland of near extinction. General Pepper and the Cornerian army was successful in exiling this maniacal scientist to the barren, deserted planet Venom. Five years later, General Pepper noticed strange activity coming from Venom. James McCloud, Pigma Dengar and Peppy Hare of the Star Fox team were sent to investigate. Upon their arrival, Pigma betrayed the team, and James and Peppy were captured by Andross. Peppy barely escaped Venom and return home to tell James' son Fox about his father's fate. A few years have passed, Andross has again invaded the Lylat system. General Pepper has turned to a new Star Fox team headed by Fox McCloud to save Corneria and free the Lylat system once again.

Are you serious that this game's graphics look like this for the N64?! Yes, I know that most graphics on N64 and PS1 games weren't that great as 3D graphics were at its infancy, but the game looks blurry. Please tell me that this is just an emulation problem OR this is an issue the N64 console has... Spazbo4 *must* be recording this game on an actual N64...
Could be a number of things: -New to the game and not yet familiar with the controls and game mechanics -Not used to the N64 controller or the PC controller -Hasn't played the game in ages, so they are rusty. I was rather bad at the game when first playing it, but I got better at it due to playing it multiple times and by reading the Player's Guide. Mind you, I was 10-11 years old back then.
With this game, my passion for space was birthed. Now I'm working in the space engineering industry. I feel like the kind Slippy Toad.
