They way you look while wearing this thing and the fact that you're also playing Cyberpunk... LMAO. It's looks like an 80s mockup of the future, but it's actually real.
I want it. When you said you adjusted it for your eyes and they're "jacked up" I knew it was something I needed. Like, I can barely play portables because my vision is messed up and I hate wearing my glasses, but this- seems to solve that. I can't wait to see it hit the market.
Same here, when he said, he adjusted them and everything was fine, he had me. Let's see what they are going to charge.
I love that the actually took the time to make sure the glasses look good too, so sick of the standard wayfarer design for AR glasses.
Having a virtual screen that can be resizable is better than you think. It is not a true AR though because it does not have 6 dof function
Concurred wholeheartedly, the current state of AR aesthetics is pretty lackluster, the lot of them all look HUGE, and I say that as a Xreal Air 1 owner. I'm patiently awaiting better designs or fits in the future, I know it'll take time but we're getting there slowly, but surely.
Oh no! He showed a small clip of Mario. Nintendo is about to nuke his channel.😂
Fair use clause...
Nintendo doesn't believe in fair use lol. They are slimy and if they get a bug up their butt's, will sue someone into oblivion.
😂
Lol soo true am dead 😂😂😂😂
@@Mr_INTP Nope, that doesn't mean anything. Retro Game Corps showed quick footage for the title screen of Mario game, Galaxy I think, and Nintendo had it taken down and he got a strike on his channel. Fair use or not, Nintendo is a gross mega corporation that will do what they want and RUclips will always bow to their every whim.
In the future you'll be able to put in your prescription and the lenses will adjust automatically
We now have the most advance device such as VR/AR headset but completely outdated Battery solution that struggle to run its standalone system for more than 2 hours
I hate the AR because of this, Xreal? Eats your battery up, you need a Beam for it.. it seemed such a good idea :/@@toututu2993
Cyberpunk was made for playing with glasses like that, i swear, it's so freaking immersive.. i played through that game on my phone via stadia, and even that was immersive.. So i can't imagine how good it is with those glasses.. if i had the money I'd buy it
Oof, I miss stadia. People just weren't ready, I guess.
@@MarkTheMagnificentI just wouldn’t trust the future of the service, given it was still around, considering how lucrative streaming platforms have become after branching off of Netflix. We’re already seeing a similar separation with Steam where publishers are creating their own storefronts
It would still be a cool concept to have just a travel pc in a belt pouch and a regular sized controller. The ar glasses are cooland I would use just on the regular
I'm not the least bit surprised just how fast electronic components have shrunk in size within a short period of time.
This is basically what the Nvidia shield portable was supposed to be
I would like something like this. Looks good.
This is very interesting especially since you can change the Battery easily and this is mostly Portable with VR Glasses
I’m going to guess $1200 for the entry model and $1400-$1500 for the high end model
At least
Rumors are around $1000.
I rather get a Quest 3 instead for a true modern gaming with fully ar/vr function for only $500. I have a Quest 2 for almost 3 years now and I am still amazed of how awesome it bring but you might struggle more to play games on the go compared to a boring flatscreen smartphone
So worth it
@@toututu2993 Try playing cyberpunk 2077 natively on the quest 3 dude lmao.
This is not a VR headset, it's a portable PC with a glasses display.
Wow the quick swap battery is super cool I never thought about it but that would be such a nice feature to have in every PC Handheld
Every device should have a quick swap battery just like the old cell phones.
Seems awesome an different, glasses are a game changer
Last week I probably would have said no easily but after a few days with Xreal air and my Steamdeck, I could go for a lighter, faster, and more portable setup. It’s really going to come down to price for me. Storage is more than enough to hold my games library too 🤞🏾
The diopter adjustment is basically a way to focus the lens to make it clear for your eyes. If you've ever used a DSLR camera, this is a common thing on them. Somewhere near the view finder there is a small dial that you can adjust to make the lens distance change in minute amounts that can adjust for your vision, that way you can look through the view finder and see everything clearly. I'm not completely sure how it works on these glasses. It's cool to see that as an option. It would kind of have to be there, though. There's no way anyone who wears glasses could use them along with these, sorta like how it's basically impossible to look through a camera view finder while wearing glasses.
I love how it's like a plug and play console on crack
I real love the idea of this! Can’t wait to see how this develops.
Love it, probably won't be able to afford it though
Been a subscriber for years now, still one of my favourite RUclipsrs amazing content thank you so much for the hardwork big fan from Hull England
That user replaceable battery looks great. I would love to see that on the steam deck and all other handhelds.
Your reviews are refreshing
Holy crap - this is pretty neat stuff just to see
That basically fits in this meme:
“Remember that one Chinese bootleg controller that had games in it? This is it now, feeling old yet?”
That is insane! 😮
I dont need one..but i want one. The idea is super cool. I hope it launches this year or early next year.
I want to buy this thing.... but I get motion sickness from 3d glasses and the VR. I dont know if this will give me motion sickness or not, but I don't want to risk it. I have a VR set for PS4 and one for PS5. I cant even use them.
How's the battery life on it? I'm curious if the AR glasses use less power than a dedicated OLED or LCD screen.
Not going to lie I kind of want to pick up some AR glasses this Christmas. I only want one that connects up to the phone though
You mean like the Samsung Gear VR?
@@bland9876like ar glasses that connect to the phone's output, wirelessly.
may be just get a RoG AllyX plus a pair of AR glasses ?
Good idea. I mostly use GPD Win 4 and Steam Deck with AR glasses. I don't think it will be 'popular,' in that it won't sell widely--but it is a good idea. 🤷♂
A better choice is probably making a PC the size of a pack of cards with detachable batteries--so people can run it mobile from a belt clip, or use in small projects with wall power, with wireless keyboards or controllers. Let people run it how they want, vs 'it comes with glasses and is clearly only for playing games.' They're shooting for a niche use case (me, probably), but they could be shooting for multiple niches.
i remember one of thos MTV ad breaks. once they had an ad break, which like there were 2 persons, each with their own gaming gadget. and then they decided to do VS battle. they pull out their gadgets which look like controllers but with projector in it. then they directed the gadget to a very tall wall nearby. the projection on the wall was their characters from the VS game in character select screen.
unfortunately, i can't find that ad on youtube.
I’ve signed up as this looks like a fun and really enjoyable project
This looks slick I wonder how much it would be? I wish you could take the controller apart id love to see if it's upgradable yourself.
On site 900 in presale 1600 they advertise later. So for sure i make my que.
Such a good concept that is modernising. Directly cable connected ensuring decent gaming quality. I wouldn't call it AR because it lack the camera to scan the room. I like
Man im glad u showed emulation that was my first thought this would be awesome for emulation
Oo glad I came across this video, I've been seeing Instagram ads for this its definitely way out of my price range but pretty interesting
It will be expensive for most since the controller alone will be at least $600 or more. The glasses will add a other $400. I am thinking it will be $1,000+
I am really enjoying my Xreal Air2 Pro glasses using my Android phone, laptop, Switch, and Steam Deck. I can easily see how this would work well for many but it would be nice to just have an existing Windows or Steam handheld with dedicated screen. Only advantage is portability but not sure about battery life which I think will be only a few hours.
If they bundle in a BT keyboard/mouse, maybe a charging dock - they could market as a portable gaming PC. The 1200+ price won't seem too bad at all then
Wouldn't be surprised if the Switch 2 pulls up a stunt like this and bypasses the dock entirely.
I'm doing this already with an xreal air 2 and an odin 2. It's great.
I like the look of these glasses but I already dropped $1200 on a win mini and I love it. Couldn’t imagine going back to any other controller, so hopefully I can buy the glasses by themselves.
really reminds me of a PSP go in terms of control scheme, that’s how I felt myself before using modern handhelds like the Switch & Steam Deck which are merely tolerable in comparison. The glasses probably wouldn’t be that practical for on-the-go gaming anywho, portability aside; they could probably only truly be enjoyed in just a singular sitting.
I’ve been hoping for something like this to get made. IDK about the quality of the controller build though. But this is super neat and I’d love to get just a controller and hook it up to some xreal!
This looks awesome. I hope the pricing won't be too extreme, but I can't imagine it being less than 1k.
Looks sick
and gameplay is more even. Imagine also interactive movies that you will not experience in cinema!
If we weren't so far from April I would absolutely not believe a single part of this, I mean, A handheld device that can run 2077? Totally looks as if someone were trying to catch some fools. But then I looked it up, saw all the news, check the specs, and saw the price and yeah, it is believable this is a thing that actually exist. I would get one if I could afford it, mostly just because I would want pictures of me wearing the glasses, so I can feel I'm finally living in the future. Oh, and of course also so I can see if it can run "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines".
IDK about more portable, but it could be more comfortable to use like in bed for an extended period of time depending on how heavy the controller is. I would wanna replace Windows with a SteamOS-like Linux distro like Bazzite, that UI is absolutely worth slightly less game compatibility
This would have been useful on my last deployment. It's much better than lugging around a 20 lb gaming laptop everywhere I went.
This is very innovative can't wait to see how competitors react
oh hey its the Brand that sells cheap android phone in my country...didnt expect they would make cool stuff like this
Microsoft and Valve should consider this type of AR googles as an accessory for their upcoming hand-held...
Your voice sounds like Rick Sanchez and Joe Rogan had a baby 😂. Thanks for this review 🙏🏾
if those glasses have good performance than having to look at a small lcd screen, this solves an issue that some rog and steam console owners are probably experiencing, the fear of accidentally damaging its lcd
looking forward to it when it gets released
Perfect, you answered my question about wearing glasses.
Slap a screen in the middle and it would be absolutely perfect anyway the price is going to go through the roof
Neat product, great showcase, thanks!
They had a post about VIP PERK in their launch group on Facebook. The listed price for VIP PERK was $899 ($1699)...
Brother the hum in your audio is killing me. Use davanci or capcut to quickly remove the bg noise and you will be golden
I am expecting the 2nd USB port on the switch 2 to connect to an AR glasses like so that i can play all 3DS and WiiU ports....
Techno also made a mini gaming PC all built, now this. This means they are going to gaming equipment more than mobiles manufacturing
This is awesome. I love this idea. I hope they do a good job of utilizing the ryzen cpu.
Heh, I had same thought about such devices when i popped AR glasses to my Ayaneo Geek 1S. "I don't need a screen now" - that was my thought.
Weight and temperature was / is my concern (and maybe software part) but yea, i wonder about the price (and the release date - if it takes them more than a year, then i'm afraid at this point (separately sold) AR glasses will be improved, CPUs will be better).
Glasses are more expensive than screen you can put on handeld.
So I assume that it may be more expensive than Asus Rog Ally. If not, then this is the moment when it starts interesting.
Yo ! Pixel ! Yes I do agree with you my guy , I saw that it has Bluetooth and Wi fi ,can you sync it up with a pc and the console's that are out there my guy ,may you and everyone hear stay blessed stay safe and have a spectacular week ahead and may God smile upon you and your families 🙏 !
Be careful Obi-Ron, Nintendo updated their content guidelines about showing " inappropriate content". Review question 11. They've been hitting youtubers with copywrite or cease and desists.
Bruh these plug n play devices from the 2000s had a HUGE glowup
Wait wait, if u can download and get games on it, i m all for it! I d love to know at least the memory of this thing. I live in a shoe box, and was actually thinking that i wont be able to get a console bc of lack of space, so that kinda devices wld be perfect for me.
This was so cool to me at first, but the more I thought about it I realized I'd probably just rather have a regular screen.
sometimes the 30 FPS makes sequences look like in slow motion though...
Can you ask the company if we can scrub Windows 11 or they can just give it to us bare so we can put Windows 10 on it instead?
Think is its Kickstarter and it'll be pricey and support won't be long or even what about when the controller goes bad
2077 stuff appears sooner than i expect
This seems like a great idea! I've used my Viture One glasses with a Legion Go and it was a great experience. Since I already have a set of AR glasses, will they work with the system, or do I need to but them as a set?
Oooor, you can take an ROG Ally/Steam Deck, break the screen, plug in some AR glasses, and have the same thing.
Looks like a kind of neat idea, don't know if it's something i'd buy though.
This is perfect for ar glasses
Anything over $750 would be doomed to failure. For that money you get a Steam Deck and glasses (RAYNEO Air 2s XR Glasses, for example) that can do the same thing and would be compatible with many other systems (Ally, Lenovo Go, etc.). You can also use the Steam Deck without extra glasses. You can't do anything with it without glasses (or a monitor?). In addition, the RGB lighting is pointless once you have the glasses on.
I want those glasses alone. I was with the system up until I heard Windows 11.
Agreed x1000%. I would be happy if you weren't married to Windows 11 because of the AI integration.
Makes me wonder if it would work with Bazzite.
@@NetflixForeign you can just change it to linux
There are several companies selling AR glasses right now and they are not really that expensive... They are basically act like monitors that accept display input through USB C or HDMI to USB C adapter.
Xreal, Rokid and TLC Rayneo for example... Not all of them are created equal so look for reviews on their pros and cons
Then you get it with Linux and complain about it after that you have to constantly mess with it just to keep it working
i have ar glasses already i would love and option to buy this without another set of glasses
That's awesome 😎 I want one but I don't need it
Interesting. I think I will keep an eye on this one. Wonder what all the glasses can be used on.
Certainly looks the next best thing to a laptop, But it might be expensive. Like a ps5 kinda pricing on it, But also it will be delicate, So watch where you put it and handle it lol, Otherwise it looks amazing ! 😉
Looks great. Crazy how big the screen seems to be. 215 inches wow
Whoah the swappable battery mann ong buy two or three of them and charge em up wow
This thing should have Bazzite or HoloISO instead of Windows 11 for a much better controller-friendly UI.
This looks pretty cool
Wish they were the 120 hz ones from sony like the Vitures.
I use to use my quest2 with my pc with emulators, was fun, but a tv always wins.
The fact that so many people actually want this is shocking. I expected people to just be dissing it in the comments.
Either way you look at it, there’s still more practicality to it than the Mac equivalent (aka Vision Pro)
Never noticed how he has the same voice as Rick from Rick & Morty Lmaooooo
Like a slightly younger and less drunk rick
could you use that glasses on another handheld or even a pc
Plug and Play consoles have gotten a new meaning.
Im impressed looks interesting
Looks cool. I kinda want one but dont more
It is alright but honestly, they should of went with at least 24gb of memory than 16gb especially for DDR5 memory.
The other thing is when you're constantly using it that it will ware over in time which i would assume serving the controller would be a real pain.
Damn this could go super well playing huniepop
This would do wonders fir my neck.
This makes me think of the Nvidia Shield (portable, not the tablet)
Just instead of 32bit Android, this is actually usable
wow, removeable Battery? this is perfect
Did you try other XR glasses with it?
What kind of review is this where you don’t talk about actual controller itself? Was it comfortable? Heavy? How are the buttons? Joystick deadzones? Etc. kinda seems like the most important thing regarding the worth of this product.
