Facts. So many 5 star athletes going to the sec. Shit, will fuller scored on temple and he played at Roman Catholic. Take him put him on temple and they win that game
That's really easy to say on paper. But in reality, why would a 4-star go to Temple when you could instead go to Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland, etc? To choose Temple means you are taking a more challenging path getting to the professional level (for most sports)
No, but I enjoyed learning that PJ Washington and Robbie Anderson where on that team. And I didn't know Anderson is a converted DB! Thanks for the info! Also, was Hassan Riddick on that team? Or did he already get drafted at that point?
The "Matakevich Has a Real Girlfriend" sign from College Gameday still has me in tears. Not sure if anyone remembers, but this is in reference to ND's Manti T'eo being famously catfished by a dude a few years earlier.
Speaking as a Nebraska fan...wow! What Matt is doing in the month an a half here is outstanding. He is a grinder who knows how to evaluate, win people over, recruit like a mad man, and just overall knows what the hell he's doing. We are more than just a little bit excited here in Nebraska I can tell you that.
I went to most of their home games when they where this good and remember how great that season was. man finally somebody recognized that team my whole family went there and I will soon too man time flies
This was another great video Scott! As a Penn State fan, it sucked to lose to this Temple team early on in the season but a bunch of people knew that this Temple team was something special. Plus, Matt Rhule played his high school ball where I went to high school before he went to play at PSU so a lot of PSU fans were very happy to see the success he had then and continues to have now!
I was at Penn State that year, first time they had beaten us since the FDR Administration. Was hoping they would beat Notre Dame during that Halloween Gameday Matchup
This was no doubt the greatest win in TU history. Penn State has always been the biggest football program in the entire northeast. Notre Dame also has a strong following here. So when I saw that Temple was hosting both I was delighted. I knew that TU would be at least one of them. We have to give Al Golden the credit for the turnaround at Temple. It was a long time in the making. Rhule was an assistant back then. Golden inherited good talent when he came to Temple. He also benefited from an easier schedule. More than anything Golden changed the mindset surrounding Temple football. This was true with the players, TU admin, alumni, local media, high school coaches and recruits. He felt that Temple football could be the Boise State of the east ...
hey man! i love your content! i’m a MASSIVE memphis fan and was wondering if maybe you could take a look at the 2014 and 2019 memphis tiger teams. their both outstanding seasons, and was wondering if you could do a video about one, both, or comparing the two to see which one would win!
Tbh, we need to redo some conferences. Cincinnati could be in the ACC or Big 10, Temple could be ACC, Houston could be Big 10, and Boise State could be PAC 12
@@elwaymoran4613 Bro UCF would immediately be a top 5 ACC team up there with obviously Clemson at 1, but then North Carolina, Miami, UCF, and Virginia would be fighting for 2
@@sugargay7168 ucf would not be up there at all, they don’t play anyone in the American conference anyway. They beat a auburn team that was overrated a few years ago and haven’t played anyone since. Have them play 8 or 9 power five teams and they would get smoked
I worked for the team this year. Was able to get my whole family sideline tickets for the notre dame game. They should’ve won that game. That damn qb veer to the right side sealed it
Watched that Temple game against ND, as a huge ND hater and a person who loved it when Boise and TCU do well. I really wished that they pulled that game out.
The only D1 presence in the Philly TV market but don't have any competitive teams, even in the dwindling AAC. Questionable facilities, fundraising, coaching, and media presence. This is an admin and athletic department issue.
Hey Scott you mentioned in the video that you believe this temple team is the only one that could’ve made a national championship or actually play off from the group of five but I would argue that 090 10 honestly 2011 Boise State Broncos could’ve done it as well they were all one loss game soon as I know one year I can’t remember which they would’ve eaten for five ranked teams to finish 12 an hour 13 an hour or whatever it is I think that team could’ve gotten a BCS spot
What is another team i should i take a look at?
Maybe Boise State!
Rise of boise st
The South Florida team that was #2 at one point in 2007
Boise State
You should make a video about the 2007 college football season
Temple could be a much better program if it fully utilized the talent in the Philly/Jersey Area. In all sports

I never knew Matt Rule was at Temple! I learn something new by watching Scott!
I knew only cause he coaches my panthers now
The talk about during his time at Baylor and before he became a Nfl Coach
Do you guys remember the 2015 Temple Owls?
I do especially when they played notre dame
Yes

Yeah! I went to the Toledo vs Temple game (I live near there) I love surprise teams so it was very cool to see them succeed

Beating Penn State for the first time in 74 years was the most enjoyable college football game I ever watched.
Awesome video. I love my Temple Owls. Yes, that season was special. Beating PSU was one of the greatest moments.
Anyone remember Louisiana-Monroe and their miracle season, I think if I remember correctly that team was legit! Just can't remember which year..
It was 2007 when they upset Alabama, but I thought there was one sooner
It was 2012 I was thinking of!
@@midwestlion3197 yeah the Kolton Browning era

I think the 2016 Houston team had the potential to make the CFP due to their great start, but they lost key conference games that cost them

Hey man, I love your videos. Could you do a video about Trace McSorley and his story, since it’s pretty cool and he’s become a internet sensation?
This dude said PhiliDolphia
Philidolphia? 😂😂😂
I was a student at Temple during the 2015 season, that was a fun team to watch. Even the American was a good conference that year.
You have been on a tear lately!!!!

Keep grinding Scott💪🏻😤 I love the videos bro and the constant uploads are keeping me entertained
Was a senior there in 16 these two years were magical
I started in 16. This run was the primary reason. Years later my Alma Mater is a factory of sadness and despair 😂
As a Philly kid this was a great era to watch
Watched that Temple game against ND, as a huge ND hater and a person who loved it when Boise and TCU do well. I really wished that they pulled that game out.
Hasaan redick was a beast you forgot to mention him he’s a pro bowler now
Unless the team is a brand that can draw money, no group of 5 teams will ever make it to the playoff!
How do u feel about this now

Glad my Irish won that game. I remember that well.
I had front row seats to all their home games my cousin played for them
Was a sophomore during this and it was super fun
You should do a video on shawn okman
Great vid keep grinding
Please keep up the content!!
The American conference should add a few teams Costal Carolina, Liberty, BYU, or Boise State and become a power 5 conference (or power 6)
Hoot hoot baby! Fight fight fight for the cherry and white! Go Owls baby!
Crazy to think 2015 was almost 10 years ago
Love your vids can u do a what happened to Ben boulware
Love the uniforms!!
We know about the 01 Miami Hurricanes being the team of the century let's do the 02
I loved the way that '02 Hurricanes season ended.

Jeff Collins road the Temple wave and got a Head Coaching job at Tech. He wasn't even part of the success😩
Hellz yeah TUMF
Do you think D’Wan Mathis could become legit? I feel like we never gave him a real shot. Ima miss him but hope he does well at temple
We didn’t develop him right but also I think Dwan was just bad wish him the best at temple
He didn’t fit in with our offense
I know it's only been a season, but maybe 2019 Baylor
Not to be rude but they were never a serious contender that year. Yeah they had some nice wins but 2015 Houston ran circles around this team
This is your first good video
Thanks I guess lol
LOL
I’m just kidding dude
This was a great season Temple hasn't been the same since Matt Rhule took the Baylor job 😔😔😔
Bill Cosby would be proud
Yeah if UCF went undefeated 2 years in a row, Temple never had a chance at a playoff. It will be quite the day a non P5 school makes it.
they beat Penn State and had Notre Dame on schedule, UCF never played a big regular season game. That was difference.
They never came close what are you talking about
Isn’t Robby Anderson a WR
Yup, but he came in as a DB
Look at iowa
Damn bro butchered "Nagurski" 😂
I knew I would lol

Memphis 2015
Do UCF

Group of 5 school will never make the college football playoff unless it's expanded. Group of 5 schools had a better chance in the bcs era.
Cincinnati got in last year.
