Theres no make believe about this trait coz thats the way we were all brought up regardless u r from a rich, middle class or poor family. My grandmother who we call "Lola" will tell us when we were kids that years ago people dont even lock their doors n if tbeir are visitors, the hosts always offer to the guests their food, even their bed n the host if their r no other beds will just sleep on the floor using mats. Thats filipino culture for u n dont forget about food, i know in western parties u have those finger foods etc n more in social conversation but in filipino parties its both , u socialize but its food galore that u call a feast.
