Rails in North Wales - Day 5 - Vale Of Rheidol Railway + Museum - 26th July 2024

Final day in North Wales before our long journey back home to Devon.
We take a trip to the Vale of Rheidol Railway for a look around the new museum, where we also find Palmerston in service on the days trains, visiting from the Ffestiniog Railway.
We were also fortunate to see Welsh Highland Railway no.590 being shunted from the carriage shed to the workshops where further work is to be carried out on the locomotive before it returns to service. Was a real treat to see it up close.

i do love how the Garratt dwarfs absolutely everything, Palmerston looks especially silly next to it to the point where i wondered how they are the same Gauge when i first saw a picture
