The early days of retraining a high strung thouroughbred we suspect that was rescued from the Stroud, OK kill pens. It took 2 years to stabilize her weight...many injuries from her anxiety accidents. She wouldn't let you touch her legs or stand mounted. We were told she was a Russian Arabian ex racehorse and/or an ex Thoroughbred racehorse. Possibly also an eventer or jumper. She was 24 hours away from the kill truck. But you could tell she was well trained at some point but a psychological mess. So was I. Here we were working on trust, lightness, and grounding (Somatically speaking.)
