I actually like the new tone live. On recordings it is too up front in the mix for my taste. His new guitar doesn’t stay in tune very well. I hope that gets fixed soon. I love Goose more than Phish and almost as much as I love the Grateful Dead. His tone will change again as time goes by. 😊

Nobody makes money selling albums anymore (unless you're Taylor Swift or Beyonce or maybe a few country acts), but they do make money touring if they can sell enough tickets consistently. Look at someone like Billy Strings who has somehow miraculously toured his band into freakin' ARENAS. Goose is consistently selling tickets and selling them for larger venues than they've played in the past in a lot of places. I can't blame them at all for riding this wave as long as they can.
