That wasn’t what he was saying at all. All people are trying to say is you have to give people a chance. If he fails he fails, but how many number 1 picks have failed in NBA history? The majority of them tbh. Zion was a bust for most of his career and he was supposed to be the face of the league. Then you have undrafted players contributing to teams better than some first round picks. You can’t just judge what someone can do when they haven’t reached their full potential yet.

They can be patient with the player while in win now mode because he only takes up one spot out of 15, most quality coaches reduce their rotation of players for the playoffs to about 9-10 unless they have a deeper team. Yes his dad is the reason he is getting this shot, so what. We look at white people everyday who more than likely own land that was probably stolen and they benefit from it! He's not even an attractive prospect in the first place and he's already acting like he can call shots, I wouldn't want that for my team. Give him a few years to become good enough to be last guy on the bench. Lot of an investment for not much of a return. Lakers just tryna sell jerseys

Idk about him necessarily “needing to be in the g league” the lakers biggest weakness is athleticism and defense at the guard position he brings exactly that

There is one total boss move that Bronny could have made that would have established that he is his own man. But he didn't make that move, and he never would make that move, and that speaks volumes. He could have signed with someone other than his daddy's Klutch Sports.

I hope Bronny goes to another team than his Dads. He needs his chance to grow and be his own man. If he goes 55 to the Lakers, he'll always hear how his Dad got him in. Then young man doesn't need that. He can overcome it, but it also makes his chance of success that much harder.

So the team that's gonna be most patient with Bronny is the team whose de facto gm is his dad, who just last year said that Bronny is better than half the players on his roster .... which btw is expected to contend for a title ...
They're gonna be more patient than ... any other team? Who're just drafting another dude in the 2nd round where no one ever expects a dude to be good right away and would be happy stashing anyone in the G League where they can actually develop?
CJ's logic is like some serial killer explaining why their murders are an act of love.
