    beautiful podcast, it's incredible to hear that the voice becomes more and more that of an adult; I know the old interviews almost by heart, incredible change and you're still the best

    I didn't have time to listen to this episode yet, but now that I do I'm glad I am listening to this at this moment.
    Speaking of range: My range varies from day to day too. On my best days I can comfortably sing from G2 to C5 (at the age of 31), but on most days I lose a couple of the highest and lowest notes.

    I hope these podcasts continue. All the aspects of teaching young boys about what they will experience is a beautiful gift you have given all of them! As for me it’s quite enlightening. You have more talent and humility than any young perform I’ve ever heard. Following you is my gift and pleasure

    This is really most interesting. I am late in watching today and is almost over. However, listening to Max and Robbie and Cormac as you three speak I can detect. I only wish the very best to the three of you always. Voices of range is most interesting. Regardless where it is at is always lovely to hear. Cormac more to come. Bless the Three of You. Cormac, in a reply to one of the comments,
    _"I’m definitely in no rush to grown up that’s for sure just ask my mum I’ve never really been able to work out why anyone would be it looks even more complicated than being a teenager"_
    In that, he alluded-to something that accounts for much of the appeal that boy trebles hold for many of us.
    It was just at Cormac's present age (~15) that I started to appreciate the magic of boys somewhat younger than I was at the time; those who still exuded that unique, fleeting charm-- that delightful mix of innocence and impishness; gentleness and toughness; vulnerability and aggressiveness; exuberance; freedom from care; wonder; and pristine beauty-- that so quickly begins to fade as puberty progresses. Years later I would realize that I, sensing that it was slipping away from me, was trying to somehow grasp onto it. And so it would remain. A yearning for both the boy we once were, as well as the boy we could only ever _dream_ of being. Add the uniquely evocative nature of song, plus a love of music to begin with...

    A real pleasure to listen to you exchange with Martin, Max and Robbie. Several times, I had tears in my eyes when all 3 of you talked about how you experienced your voice change. This is such a big change for a young singer. Even knowing it, listening to you makes me become even more deeply aware of your feelings. It's really great to do these podcasts, I imagine that it could serve as a support for singing teachers and their students, as a preventive course of what is going to happen and above all that it is not an end but a evolution towards another way of singing. I understand that this is no longer an inevitable great goal.
    Thank you really for your contribution to helping other singers.. I repeat myself but you always surprise me with your maturity and your wonderful values Cormac ☀️☀️☀️ 🙏🏼🦋🎶🎶✨️🎶✨️❤❤❤❤

    What a fantastic podcast, you get a lot of important information out. To your followers and hopefully to your fellow singers.
    It's incredible to hear more about your and your guests' experiences with voice ranges and the development over time.
    Dear Cormac, always do what you are comfortable with and you find satisfying for you. Then your songs will be an absolute pleasure to listen to. You are the best, also for me 💯

      @@CormacThompson yes, over the years it definitely went down a few steps from previously being able to just barely sing a very high F6 then down to a high C and then eventually a high A at the very end. Actually come to think about it even after my voice totally switched from treble to tenor I still was able to sing a high A but then over time once I turned about 16 it just went away. For me the biggest change was when I got sick with a bad cold and when my voice came back it was changed to a tenor range. Really big jump for me haha

    An insight into the often cloistered world of voice change and development. As with all thing's it relies on transmission of information which seems patchy and in places not addressed as the choristers just leave! Choir's and record labels should take on some responsibility for signposting transition but will they🤔 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    • @CormacThompson
      @CormacThompson  4 месяца назад +1

      i think it would be very difficult for them to change from how they have always done it before

    • @paulsharp4071

      @@CormacThompson I agree it would be difficult but like recent highlighting of Mental Health and Cancer, it can be done just needs individuals to pick up the gauntlet and challenge past misgivings. 🤔
