This isn't surprising at all. My uncle did 15 years in the early 90s and he said the female COs kept inmates satisfied. The married ones used to get trained every week and some even divorced their husband thinking they could start relationships with inmates. Never take a chick serious if she says she is a CO.
Any "man" that is married to a woman who performs strip searches on male inmates everyday has NO pride, whatsoever!

It’s real bad here in South Carolina as well! They’ve literally had a sting going down since January trying to catch employees smuggling drugs, phones, and having inappropriate relationships with inmates at jails and prisons. Even Registered Nurses were smuggling drugs to inmates. AND ALL THE WOMEN HAVE BEEN BLACK!!! They won’t go 50/50, but willing to risk their nursing license for a man that literally can’t do 💩 for you!!!

A 49 yo married Black corrections captain at Rikers Island died getting a BBL in DR. Her husband asked her not to get it. So why? Most likely attention from all the thirsty inmates at work.
I remember that story. I have friends that work there who tell me the female officers definitely be giving it up.

This is really common. My niece got caught doing this at Rikers Island. She was lucky cause she was told to resign after getting caught having relationship with an inmate. She was dumb cause she was corrections officer and in NY you can retire after 20 years. She messed that up

These broads are cut from the same cloth of the inmates they were messing around with. Jails are turning to contracted security officers in lieu of hiring correctional officers to train, higher wage, benefits, and a retirement plan. This is the risk you take because it is cheaper for the county.

I worked 13 years on that tier and I had to transfer to another department because all the veteran officers (men) retired and we got 90% women in their place. The majority of them are the worst to work with if they are clean and could possibly get you deleted if they are dirty.

Here in NY the same thing. I work for a state prison here and there have been about 14 females to get caught up with inmates. They allowed them all to resign.

I work at a prison (not as a CO) and I will never get what any woman (or man) sees in an Inmate. There is nothing they can give me or add to my life but a bunch of headaches and money loss. These Inmates always try, but it's easy enough to tell em' to not even go there. Not entertaining that foolishness is easy. SMDH

As an ex military who has friends of mine that work for city who used to be correctional officers, it's always "them" from where they worked it. "they" were the main ones always being terminated for the typical situations. I don't need to ask you how you know because this is something that "I know"

Used to happen a lot in Texas prisons until cameras were installed all over a lot of the units.
Fun fact: even after all those cameras were installed, inmates still got box from female officers and both didn't care about the cameras.

This is sad. Women like this don't even seem to think about the repercussions of dealing with inmates that potentially have incurable STDs that are not disclosed, not even to spouses or partners that pick them up when they are released. So you have this type of activity with COs choosing to hook up with dudes who they know are dealing with other inmates, potential getting infected with STDs, and then bringing that into the free population as part of the hook-up culture. I'd be willing to bet this is also contributing to the increases we are seeing in STDs.
