I purchased my Mini 1 exactly a year ago to the day.. I have been playing around with the Litchi app for a few months now and it is definitely getting better not quite there yet but hopefully soon. I have also been playing around with the Drone Link app also quite a powerful app. It is just nice to have the options of third-party apps to try out.

You are, by far, the best drone channel I have seen. Clear, concise explanations. The Litchi app makes the Mini into a serious drone. I am curious if it will follow me on my motorcycle (remote based follow) when I am riding (within a reasonable speed of course!).

Just bought my first Mavic mini, I didn't realize it had no follow or waypoint mode I was disappointed untill I found you, iv just purchased the litchi app, iv not flown as yet lol wish me luck .

The Litchi app definitely looks impressive and it definitely has an edge over DJI's.
It seems that they have so.e bugs to iron out, but it has potential to be the app to have..

Thanks for the videos, as usual very informative.
I thought I would share this with you and your subscribers.
I was flying my mini 1 with litchi tonight and I had the camera setting set to AEB in litchi. I changed my mind from doing the AEB of the industrial site and decided to take a pano of the sunset.
I set up my pano, 180°, 10 columns, 5 rows, (50 photos in total) 110° tilt on the camera. Took aim and pressed the photo button.
What I forgot to do was change the camera settings back from AEB to single shot. Once the drone was doing the pano, every shot ended up having 3 photos (ev -2, 0 , +2) taken, so I've ended up with 150 photos, for my pano. Now all I have to do is stitch them together.
So the long and short of it is if you leave the camera settings in AEB and start a pano then you will get a PanoAEB

Great Video. Like I said in another of your vids. I got the Litchi app for my Mavic Mini. I am going to focus on Way Points for now. But the Panorama 360 looks interesting too
Great 2nd video.. I missed the dronie quick shot. Need to figure out how to set distance and speed. I guess I could use the cable cam mode and set thing there. Its been 5 years since I have used Litchi, it does so much more than DJI Fly App. and now here in Feb. 2022 we have pretty much all the features. Thanks, Dave..... You take care.....

@@TECHDRONEMEDIA I started flying drones a year ago with the Mavic Mini, shortly after I got the Powervision Poweregg x and finally the Mavic Air 2. Each one has it's purpose, though the Powervision drone has been a challenge and learning experience (not quite what I was hoping for). But it's nice to see there is more to do with the Mini and I'm excited to learn as much as I can, because it is a great little drone.
Hi, any idea how to share stitched 360 panorama as a 360 panorama and not "just an 360 image"?
i enjoyed your two videos, and esp your sense of humour! thanks! one thing... in the updated Litchi app, many of the settings have been moved around, and from what i can tell, the gimbal roll adjustment has been moved to the C2 button, which the Mavic Mini controller lacks, so no way to adjust it?!
Great videos! Does the 360 panorama take bracketed exposures? If so, can you combine them into an HDR photosphere? Or is that a bit ambitious for the Mini? Thanks!

The Layout in my litchi App Form Android Looks different. I never have to pull a frame. Are you using a i Phone?
So I have question. I prefer the litchi app to the Dji apps. I fly both a mavic pro 2 and the original mavic mini. I fly mostly in the Grenadines in the Caribbean. Becuase of the number of islands with airports, you need almost always to get permission to fly thru flysafe. I am always granted permission and receive immediate email confirmation. But that confirmation doesn’t seem to be excepted by litchi app and I end up flying with the dji app. Any suggestions welcome.
Hello I can't use active tracking in the litchi fly app can't cover a box was never a problem you know what the reason maybe I still use the mavic mini

The error messages regarding low battery seems a bit off compared to the DJI Fly app ?
Hello Henrik, may I ask about the Follow Mode behavior at 1:30 in the video. You mentioned "what it does now" when the drone repositioned itself. I experienced this when I was "exercising" with my Mini 2 and as soon as I hit the start button the drone went to the opposite side of me. Unfortunately it went close to a tree and my first "wrong" reaction was to walk towards which made the drone go backwards, hit the branches, fell down and broke a "leg". What do you recommend for the setting like heading ,North or Course, Right or Left, ... How are these Settings from my position with the controller facing straight towards the drone? Kind regards Dietmar

Have you tried the simulator mode,
Press and hold the gps green bar at the top, drone will go into Simulator mode, you can fly the drone without it even taking off and fly a route ,it's a great feature. Let me know your thoughts on thus. By way great channel.

Could you possibly revisit the modes on the Litchi App and give some more detail - perhaps do one video per mode so you can spend enough time on each? I'm most interested in the Focus Mode but there's not enough info on it in any of the videos I've seen so far to give me the confidence to give it a go!

So I would love to pull the trigger on this app for my mini but I keep reading reviews and comments that talk about nightmare scenarios where the drone simply flies away and disappears. How reliable is it in terms of safety and the usual failsafe features?

This App is currently for the Original Mavic Mini correct? Or, has it been implemented for the Mavic Mini 2, which I am considering getting?
DJI has not yet released the SDK for the mini 2 yet probably only in mid 2021.. Once the SDK has been released third-party apps will only then be able to support the Mini 2.

Where do we give/send feedback to the Litchi folks? I experienced some interesting things today on my hike with my wife and two dogs. Maybe you can offer some help? The drone lost visual, of us, but continued to track location. I can adjust the gimbal in flight but it wouldn't stay locked on the controller "in screen." It was doing a helluva job capturing the desert floor. LOL Also, it didn't really do the Dynamic HomePoint as we were changing elevation but the drone was staying at the relative HomePoint it was set at during lift off even when I was updating the HomePoint.

I've been following your videos for quite a while now and thanks to you got the Litchi app on black friday.. though I haven't tried it yet.
My question is.. what happens if it's on follow mode and you're driving a car and after a few mins it loses connection. Where will it go.. take off point, last connected to controller place or will it get lost?
You can decide what should happen if looses connection..RTH, Hover or Land. With RTH will to home to take off point unless you have enabled dynamic home point, the it will go the controller.

Here in Malta they introduced laws even on the Mini. Registration, insurance and you have to submit your flight plans beforehand.

In follow mode is it possible to disconnect cellphone from the controller? The drone will follow then?
Yes that is possible
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA I think it won't work. In follow mode it is necessary to have gps in cellphone on. Without it the follow function doesnt work. So if we disconnect, the controller will not send our position to dron. I didnt check it yet.

Bro on Mini2 anyway we still can't even access photos and videos through Litchi app because it claims Dji sdk bug needs update and fix by them but I don't get it Dji updates the fly app once a week or more anymore. The track and follow don't work well either for me, on Android. Now the Dji fly app I have no lack of anything or issues at all with it. What works best on Litchi ime is flight plan and fpv goggles option. See everyone all in all gets enough of something that its still cool to have, but seems like nobody gets to make use og every feature between iOS and Android. Color profile adjustment, that's another thing I just remembered doest work...sdk blah blah, I think someone at Litchi just doesn't care anymore, never once received a update for that app.
Hi, I cannot seem to draw a box around myself on the litchi app. When I touch my phone screen it adjusts the gimbal pitch only. Any ideas please?

The flight modes seem like a hack since the remote control is used as the focal point. What if I want to do an orbit on a car, the controller has to be in the car?
Where is the auto stitching happenns, is it part of Litchi or another app? Somehow I cannot see it in my Litchi App.
Auto stitching is not on Android if I remember correctly

You can fly on one side of the harbor it’s private but open to public
I so much prefer POI based orbit versus object based. It's so much more flexible than the Fly app.
