I have the 3 speed and the 7 speed version of these bikes and I truly enjoy these two bikes. After unboxing the 7 speed version of this bike, the rear drum brake was adjusted too tight and the rear wheel wouldn't rotate freely, because of the overtightened brake drum. Also several of the higher gears were skipping. After taking the bike to the bike shop to get everything adjusted correctly the bike operated fine until after putting about 20 miles on it. Then after 20 miles of riding, the bike lost torque when riding in the throttle mode and reduced power in the peddle assist mode. I notified the company of the problem and they said that they would get back in touch with me but they never did. In conclusion, it seems as if they are trying to avoid honoring their warranty

My suggestion is to rewire it as if it were a Brompton, it will probably be better, but you will have to pay for that modification
