I can definitely understand your excitement about this one - it's an absolute classic! I didn't realize it had a fragrance, but that would definitely tip me towards buying one. That and the fact that it appears to be a compact grower for such a spectacular presentation.
I have one myself! I have a flower spike currently! I’m located in Northeast Ohio, so we’re plenty cold. I set it outside when it cooler and bring it inside when it’s really cold, I guess it’s working! I can’t wait to see the blooms! ❤
Hi, I just got one today. Can you tell me what is the temperature you bring it in when it's really cold? I live in Virginia and I was told to keep it inside because it's 94 degrees during the day here. I would love to know when I can keep it outside again
I have grown rossioglossums for years with biannual success with blooms in temperatures ranging from near freezing to high 90sF. They like it very wet when temperatures are above 70 and they are growing. They don't need humidity but really benefit from it.
Hello Mathew, I have a Rossioglossum splendens, is it the same specie as the Grande ? Can I apply your methods to mine ? Thanks for you channel and advices !!
Hello! I don't grow splendens - though it looks splendid! Looking at it's vital stats though it does seem similar - might not love going below 10oC (50oF) winter night time minimum - and bright indirect light . Good luck!
Melbourne's weather is notoriously variable. So summer maximums can vary from low 20's c to 40+ c in extremes so in imperial measurements that's @68F to 100F+ @@woowooone
@@helloplantlovers thank you so much for this information! That helps me so much as this is the first cool or warm to cool grower I have ever owned. And I'm so excited, but I found so much conflicting info on the internet, so thank you. Here in Virginia in the USA, that means that I can keep it outside for about 7 to 8 months of the year, which is remarkable, since my warm growers can only be outside for 3 to 4 months tops. Blessings to you!
And thank you for the video, not many people have these! ❤️

@@helloplantlovers Thank you
what a beauty, where do you find shell grit?
Hi there - thanks for watching! I get mine from a pet shop!
What is the warmest temperature that you would be willing to keep it outside in your environment?
Well it stays out all year so has to deal with whatever happens!
@@helloplantlovers thank you, would you say that it is in the upper 80's or mid 90's consistently for any period of time there?
