I paid 160 in October. It is now Nov 18 and I just received the software yesterday. Doing the install today. Thank you for this video.
I had to go through the same thing yesterday when I installed the new software and then the map update for my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The software update was simple. The MAP update was more complex, a combination of me getting activation code on the Uconnect internet site. Getting the activation code from the internet site I first had to enter my VIN, the new software version , request code, and the Uconnect MAP serial number . I then inserted the USP stick and then proceeded to enter the activation code which FINALLY allowed the MAP update to begin.
This was a ridiculous process of jumping here and there ( internet to navigation system). It was cumbersome and took way too long. But it's done.

Could you elaborate on the differences between the software versions? Is there any significant improvements in features, speed or quality? Or is it just GUI updates/differences? Thanks the video

Bro my car 2016 no have unconnect 8.5 i get unconnect 2017 it's very good but how i will update because I don't know vin number for unconnect screen because from other car😅
I remove the USB fuse for 1min it's running like a champ you're welcome...
Just got a 2019 grand Cherokee and the app on the phone doesn’t allow me to connect with the vin could this be the solution ?

$150 for update kit while google maps updates for free 😅 when will we get ota updates like tesla smh even then the process is so complicated.

The UCONNECT is better then most and it’s convenient to look at 8.4 screen rather then cell phone. Why you so cheap you don’t have a car with a gps 😂 😂 smh
@joegugliotta8988 Well, you do know you can display Google maps on the 8.4 screen right, I do it all the time and yes my 2022 Ram has navigation genius 🤣 SMH!!!
Well Kevin of course I do but the Uconnect is still better. You can change routes and get traffic updates hands free unlike google maps SMH 😂😂
